New Hard Drive, Cant Go Online ANY More

Help!

Is anyone else having trouble going online recently? Everytime I load up the Game I get a "connection to the server could not be established" message come up

I have a feeling it as something to do with this. My copy is on my hard drive and recently I have upgraded my hard drive to something with a bit more room. I backed up the ps3 hard drive, then restored it onto my new drive. I have no other problems with any other games. I can go online with them, its just GT5 that wont do it

I have tried downloading and installing a fresh copy from playstaion store, albeit without deleting the old copy, and it still doesnt work. I know most people will reccomend that to be my next step, but I am a bit worried. How will this affect my game? Will I keep my money and cars? Or what about my updates and quick tunes? If anyone has gone through this experience I would love to hear from you to find out whats what.

I wouldn't worry about it as nobody plays GT5P anymore on line now anyway due to lack of support/updates from PD.

Not very helpfull I know but I just love having a dig at PD for their terribly sloooooow development of the game.


I presume you can save your progress withing the game - try doing a search on here - I'm sure somthing will turn up and good luck.

Put your old hard drive back in and see if it's still a problem.

What you can try saving the game save to a memory stick. Delete the old game from youre Ps3 and download it again as you have already downloaded it, it will be free to download again.

Once you have save the game save to your stick delete it from the Ps3 and then copy it back to the Ps3.

This may work, but i suggest you buy the Hard Disk of GT5P, i know you may not want to spend another 25- 30 pounds or go to Amazon and you can find it there for less than 15 pounds.

I replaced my 40gb HDD with a 250gb HDD and mines be running smooth since I did it. It must just be yours....

Maybe your PS3 doesnt like the new hardrive.
