New Idea :)

Ok, well, I'm new here so try not to get too mad at me : :nervous: ...
And I used to be a member at playstation underground, but they all suck, so...yeah...lol, back on topic.

I thought we should be able to put MP3 music files onto to PS3's hard-drive and be able to play it while we're driving instead of listening to *their* music, because I don't like it that much...That's just my opinion. What about you?

A couple of the songs ni GT4 were okay, but generally they were crap. But importing MP3's would be great, Jerremy could speed round Le Sarth listening to Bat out of hell.

Yeah this would be a great idea. I would love this ability even though I probably still would race with the music off ...

I find myself listening to my mp3 player with headphones. It's not like Gran Turismo's engine sounds are anything to die for.

^ Exactley, GTR on the other hand, I wouldn't dream of having music on while racing in that. Thoes machines scream.

I might actually listen to music at that point.. hehe.

This is one of those times where they could use the hard drive as a "nice to have, but not required" feature. The game will run just fine without it, but if you had one, you could use custom soundtracks.

It also depends on what they do with the car sounds. The more realistic the sounds in GT5 are, the less likely I am to want music playing. :)

Yes, but if it's like the jump they claimed from GT3 to GT4, it won't be anything great. I still believe GT2 had the best engine sounds. 69' Camaro at idle.

If the PS3 is going to have a built in hard drive. (it's supposed to) Then their would be no reason why you wouldn't be able to do it. I mean come on, you can do that on XBOX for crying out loud!!! I would be appauled (sp?) if it doesn't let you do it.

Who listens to music when they're driving 10/10ths? 90% of the time, I play with nothing but ambient sounds. I can't drive 100% if I can't hear every tire screech and engine bog...

On the replays, though, it would be nice to listen to more than the same five or six songs every replay.

It's not supposed to, and it won't come boxed with one exept for the chance of a bundle pack.

What??!! That's BS, Here we are in 2005, and they can't put a hard drive standard in a console. WTF??!! The damn XBOX came with one in 2002!! OK. I'm pissed now! PC has had hard drives for as long as I can remember, how hard could it be to stick one in a console? BTW, I'm on a Sony Vaio right now with 60 gigs of hard drive space! That's pathetic.

Well they should at least make it so that you can listen to your own music for those who do shell out for a hard drive.

Settle down buddy... The external drive is better in a lot of ways... For one, you can add any size hard drive you want... You have to break open your Xbox and void your warranty to do the same thing... Plus, it keeps the price of the PS3 down, so it's more accesible to the average gamer...

When I get my PS3, I am going to buy the HD, and probably throw in a 120gb drive right away... Hopefully they will have something like "HDLoader" for the PS3, so I can store a bunch of my games, and music, right on the HD...

Personally, I don't really care if you can play your own music in the background... I would rather just do what i have been doing... Turn off the in game BGM, turn up the ambient sounds (engine, tires, etc...), then use my vast PC MP3 library to play whatever I want, without it muffling the in game engine noise... This way, the engine sounds, and the music are seperated, so they don't melt together as much...

Some of us don't have PC's in our room, lol, I have mine in the computer room, my game systems in my room =)

Do you have a stereo?... You don't have to have a PC to play music...

No stereo player, lol, I have 1 in my truck though, lol

Hiya! :D :embarrassed:  Meow! (='.'=)

Now you need to get one in your room! :embarrassed: It is definately worth it when you just lie down and sing along to your favorite songs! :embarrassed: 👍

Like someone said, equipping the PS3 with a HD will only make it cost more and would possibly give the Xbox360 an advantage in selling. A portable HD would be better since you don't have to carry your entire PS3 to someone's house just get use your music while playing games. :embarrassed:

Agreed. I have liked maybe 3 songs out of the entire series. I would definately like to put Mushroomhead on whilst i kick the holy crap out of the competition in an absurdly fast car on an outrageos new track!
wwwooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont really like listening to the music when im racing - but i do think we should be able to play the music in the menu! i hate the stupid elevator music when you are working on youir car!!!!!
