Personally i think it was a waste of an update, because all they did was add a black outline of a dash and doors to the hood view. If your gonna add views atleast make them nice!

Completly agree all they did was add a camera to the inside of the car nothing to crazy at all it had to of been one of the last minuet ideas to fill the update. They could of at least put a little more time on the interiors to add some eye candy. But can't really complain that much it's better then not having one. Plus I feel it's alot better to drift when ur inside the car

Even though theres no detail in the inside view i cant actually justify winging about it seeing as they stated that the inside view would be like that to seperate the premium version to the standard version. also not to mention the time it would actually take them to go through all the different cars to get the appropriate dash in them. the update was initially done to satisfy those who wanted to drive standard cars with possibility of being inside car.just saying

I don't understand why they separated standard and premium cars. Should've made it like Forza where every car has an interior

At least the 90 degress wheel turn is not annoying you when you are playing with a wheel such as a G25/G27 :P

i agree with you on all cars should have been premium however we would might not have as many cars if they didnt do standards as for making it like forza dam glad they didnt

Well it's better than nothing! The one thing that kept me from driving standard cars was the lack of an interior view, and now that I have it, I couldn't care less about standard vs. premium. (Except for wheel changes) And it's not THAT BAD, they got the window and dashboard shapes right, it's not like every interior looks the same.

Why is this on the drifting forum?

I think that the discussion is pertinent, because interior cars are not so popular for e-drifters (cose it shakes like hell), also some drifters likes to tandem changing the camera depending the convenience, so a new fugly black canvas in earthquake mode /on while swaping cameras doesn´t helps any bit.

Otherwise, i fully agree that yes, any kind of rims change for standard models (even painting only) would be an incredible improvement.

Because it takes 3-6 month to make a detailed view like the premiums.

True, but I could do without more than several cars in GT5. Plus, there really wasn't a need to make 234235235 GT-Rs! lol

The way i see it is that almost all the standard models are polished GT4 meshes imported into GT5

They are cause unlike forza it takes 3x longer to make the cars because of the photos that are layer on the car rather then looking at a photo and using the computer to completely try and match it as best as possible. Takes to much time.

Like what spank is saying. It takes alot of time to create things for GT5. I mean the release for it the game was running late. Stop moaning about it being "crap" and be glad there actually trying to do something for us.

No doubt there will be more dlc's later on.

I tried the interior view from a standard car last night, and although it's not the greatest, I appreciate the interior view option. I only use interior view for regular races, but chase camera for drifting.

I think the interior is just the first step for pd. Everything is in its proper place, shape and size. I think with updates we will be seeing some more detailed (not prem quality) interiors. The blackout is basically the skeleton for the detail, just needs to get "painted" so to speak.

All speculation on my part.

Well, that's just your opinion and while you're perfectly entitle to it I'm just as much entitled to disagree.

The cockpits for standards, however crude they may be, make it possible for me to enjoy all of those cars whereas before I could not.

If you feel it 'sucks' so much why bother to make a new thread about it and not just carry on posting in other threads already discussing the Spec II update, allowing me to progress with my ever growing annoyance for irrelevant threads which could be compiled into existing ones elsewhere? Huh? And in the wrong place might I add?

Are you the guy that whines about not having a cockpit in each car yet also criticise PD for taking so long with development? What do you want? Oh, let me guess..........after market rims which are completely pointless for racing purposes and are as useful to game play as a chocolate tea pot?

I would much rather have aftermarket rims, because we are not "racing" and many drifters dont drift using
The interior view because it can sometimes be annoying. If they were going to add something they could have at least finished it before they released it, i would have been happier waiting and actually getting a worthwhile update.

rims aren't pointless - when you show someone a replay and they ask you "did you choose to use vw beatle tires because the narrow contact is better for drifting or something ?"

then you hang your head in shame and silently curse pd

Interior camera trepidates too much for a healthy drifting pratice, specialy on higher speeds. Thats why most of the drifters dont use it. And thats why the drifters think its a waste of effort, since they was expecting for more visual customizations (tire width, more body part choices, livery editor, change of models or even collors for standard car rims).

About the argument "i have interior view for stadard cars, now i have 800 new cars", i agree only till the page 2, because my favorite ever cam is the chase (3rd person), and i hate it in Gran Turismo. What do i do? Stop to play? No, i adapt myself tho the crappy chase cam or 99% of the times i use the hood view.

So the lack of internal view was not an excuse to denie the use of any standard car.

Call me crazy but I actually like the standard car interior view over the premium one, I know it looks crap, but I can actually see outside of it, the premium interiors are too view restrictive and I cant even see the track. I wish there was an option to adjust seat height so i can sit a little higher.
