New NSX - any hope for GT5?

I am wondering if anyone knows whether or not the New Acura NSX that is being tested at Nurburgring will be in GT5. Acura is being very secretive ahead of its official unveiling at the North American Auto Show (Detriot) this January. I assume that Polyphony would have had to get the model from Acura a long time ago in order to be included in GT5. Anyone know any more?

If it is, it's just going to be modeled to very old specifications. Besides that, I don't think PD shares the same relationship with Honda like they have done with Nissan.

I guess it would depend if GT5 were to be released fairly soon (mid 2009), or later on (late 2009, early 2010), though Kaz said everything is going to be a surprise as far as all releases go.

If it's not included, I'm sure they could add it it through an update or a downloadable car pack or something.

Makes you wonder about the LF-A concept car too.
Possibly the same, but considering that more about the LF-A has been shown, PD could probably work with Toyota on it. And, if the car really has been scrapped, it shouldn't hard to get all the final specs on it.

-> Would you please stop calling it NSX! It does not have the proper NSX characteristics to begin with! :grumpy:

It's nothing like the original but that's what Honda will call it to our knowledge so that's what it is.

^ The problem is it won't be a Honda to begin with, It will be an "Acura only" car, so the possibility that this car will be called somthing else. ARX maybe?

VB from a different forum
-> I don't get it why on why people call it the 'NSX', 'next NSX', etc.! First, no one except Honda insiders know what this car is going to be called. Second, this car does not follow the NSX tradition (F-engine, SH-AWD, 2+2). Third, AHM says that this will be an Acura exclusive, meaning this car would not sell as much as the vaunted supercar.

-> I always call this car the ARX. Why you say? Because, just like the R8 from Audi; it was a race car at first then they applied it on their fabulous road car with the same name, maybe R10 for the V10 TDI version. So people with no design soul at Acura would base it on their winning American Le Man race car, the ARX-01 series.

-> If Honda Japan could make another super car that features the same engine, but with NSX passion and technology:

- All Aluminum
- Two Seat
- Mid-Engine
- Rear-Drive
- Almost an HSC look alike

^ Then I could call this car THE NSX.

:dunce: <- Stuborn me. Will still call it ARX

And I'll call it an NSX, as the Acura version is also called an NSX.:sly:

They shouldn't bother with this front-engine cruiser of a thing that they want to call 'NSX'.
PD should focus its relations with Honda to bring us the Super GT NSX cars... namely the ones in the 2007 season:tup:

^ Oh they will, its just a matter of time. :)

-> The issue is the =unamed= Acura sports coupe.

I'd love to see the LF-A ('07 version) in a GT title. Beautiful car. Anyway, here's hoping that we will get to see more of the new "NSX" in action soon, in GT or Real-Life.

^ Maybe they will do a BMW 330i in GT5, like what they did in GT4. This Bimmer showed up in GT4 in the USDM market BEFORE the actual car was released, it caused a rift between BMW USA and SCEA/PD. :boggled:

Damn. That's news to me. Crazy stuff. Any other similar situations like that happen before with GT games, and auto manufacturers?

no, thats what the media calls it. I've yet to see honda them selfs call their new V10 FR a NSX and if they had any sense, they wont

that GT monster indeed has a V10 500+HP (FR) but honda has NEVER gave a name .. it is the NSX successor for sure ,,,, but not the NEW NSX ...

^ Nope, nothing before GT4 happened the same way as what happened like this.

-> In GT5P, although the game was not actually released her in the US per-say. But the 135i was featured in the JDM-spec GT5P before it was released to some markets like here in the US.

-> The rift between BMW USA and SCEA/PD was a very small dispute, so small that it was rarely mentioned. BMW USA just bowed down to its knees because that particular 330i was provided by BMW AG. :)

^ The third one is an (50%) official image (leaked though), but it is very close to the actual thing.

I am very disappointed that it's AWD. Japan aren't even trying any more, if they start to make big power, instead of thinking about good suspension setups and gear ratios etc they just chuck AWD at it for traction.

Who said it doesn't have good gear ratios or a good suspension setup (which is what the old NSX was very well known for).

I could care less if they called it NSX, ARX, SEX - I want to drive it in GT5. (At least the Advanced Sports Car Concept.)

But...600 HP AND SH-AWD System? If they sell that at NSX prices I'd seriously think Honda Motor Co. are going mental. IF they sell it.
