I think everyone h8's the new track because they took out the one part to save game space so they could keep the graphics good. That was the best part of the track that they took out IMO.

Of all the parts of SS11 I wanted to see in GT3, it was the part they took out.

Ah, missed this thread. Like others said, I really liked the GT1 version of Special Stage Route 11. It's still one of my favourite tracks, since you had to have big balls to go fast through that chicane. I was happy to see that they brought SSR11 back, but I was shocked to see that it wasn't the old version.

That chicanei in the old one was the best part of it. I can remember smacking that wall so many times tryin to get as much as I could out of it.

I like the new one much better. It is actually fun but still challanging enough to make you
work for a win. I just raced a very close race on this track two days ago. I was using a Lister Storm V12 in the amature championship race series. The R11 corse was by far the hardest. I qualified well ahead of the Skyline and all the others by at least 4 seconds. In the Race however it was a different story. The Skyline out accelerated my car and took the lead early. No other race in this series was close and my oil light had not come on. but it was difficult to pass the Skyline as the other cars ramed me from behind at every turn. this race turned into a ramfest. I still managed to repass and then it was the Rayberg NSX as the Skyline pitted. The NSX would ram its way to the inside of the turns. And I would have to repass it on the straightaways. I Won by just over one second. I wondered why the other cars were a challenge just on this track and no others (on the last race my oil light came on and I still won with no problem. Very arcade like (not pretty) racing but it was really the only excitment in the whole series. Has anyone else noticed this on R11?
I have never crashed in the kink on the new track but the old one, well lets just say I left a lot of paint on concret. I would like to have both really. I was hoping that GT-4 would have everything. Maby GT-5...

When it comes to tracks like Deep Forest I'll always chose GT3 because they ****ed up the depth/grades.

If you asked me this question 2 years ago when I was doing GT1, I woulda said I hate Route 11. Now, I love the new course mostly bc I am a better driver. It's hard to say which one I like better..maybe I'll take a trip back to the GT1 disc and give the enduro a spin... ¬

I like the old one, it brings back so many memories of me crashing into the walls leading into the Tunnel and Main Straight while driving a time trial or qualifying lap in the Mitsubishi GTO or Dodge Viper GTS-R in Simulation Mode.

New. I like the straightaway with just that WEE skee-jaw. It breaks up the monotony of an otherwise "Drift left, drift right, drift left, drift right, guess what--drift left, drift right..." track.

I never did GT1 so can't really judge. The old track looks a little better than the GT3 abomination. But it still wouldn't make my top 100.

For challenge the new SS11 has to be one of the hardest tracks in the game
