Well my shiny new ps2 slimline arrived this morning and i got it all rigged up along with my DFP all going fine until i put the disk, it wen though all the stuff at the start (the ps2 logo, the copywrite stuff) but then it froze when it got to the Sony Presents bit. I think its the disk because i tryed all the other games and they all work. So im a little bit ticked off at the moment. Has anyone experianced this?

Lots of people have encountered this, unfortunately. If you go to "Advanced Search", look for "slimline PS2" or "disk read error", and limit the search to the GT4 board, you should find numerous threads on the topic.
