Lol, Good Joke!
Just got into drifting on Gran Turismo and me and a friend have been practicing.

Ive always been a pretty good racer, I can beat all my friends if I'm driving AWD or FF drivetrains. But I've always had a problem controlling RWD, So I have the same problem with drifting.

So yes, I use a R32 GT-R thats AWD, but please dont get into a flame war about this because I'l just ask elsewhere. I also use a wheel btw.

So I've got it set up with the LSD to 5/60, the power is going 35 to the front, 65 to the back, Is this a good setup?

If I use comfort softs on the back and racing tires (any kind) on the front, what will it be like? Or shall I stick to comfort softs on both?

Should I set my gear ratios shorter? Ive heard its best to red line though a corner.

Is there any better AWD cars to use? and if so, have you got a good setup I can use?

Also, Whats the best track to practice on?

Thankyou for your help and hopfully thankyou for not insulting AWD drifting and getting my thread locked. :)

Try cape ring its awsome drift pratice track. Bye the subaru CUSCO DUNLOP its amezing how good controll u have in it. Use comfort soft. And settings on stock.

Warning its hard to go back to RWD after this:P

But for RWD drifting.

Blitz ER34 D1 SPEC '04 or Blitz DUNLOP ER34 SKYLINE '07

Remeber Rwd drift is all abut throttle controll

First I want you to rip up on the e-brake, then i want you to pow on it.:sly: Like the others said it' always better to learn with RWD but to each their own. I've always been told practice is the mother of all skill. Just start with a stock car and start changing things little by little till you find something that works for you. Then let the fun begin.

I will not start a flame war, i will just give you the pointer, drop AWD< because if you want to get to the real drifting, it will just make it harder in the end.

Well, if you insist on AWD, go 10/90.

In my opinion, and a lot of others, go Comfort hards, if you want to drift online (Although, if youre in an AWD, tandemign will be unlikely, so the major advantage of going CH is lost.) Still, use CH's or Normals in my opinion. Never softs.

Is only needed when you lack power to keep a drift going. Redlining, is good at some points (close to a wal, passing a collegue closely)... For just that 'showing-off' kinda feel :P

Only AWD car i used, was the Lancer Evolution, (the on you can race-mod, its the Vlll i think.)

Also, Whats the best track to practice on?

Tsukuba, is used online a lot, i learned drifting on GT5 on there... Try to avoid tracks with banks, and difficult linking...

Well, i didn't insult it, nor do i want this thread locked. I hope you can use a couple of pointers i gave you.
