New To Drifting

Hi,

been playing gt for a while now and never tried drifting. Just wondered is it something you just do for fun in practice mode or am I looking in the wrong place? Can you earn points for A Spec for doing it etc? just a couple of points in the right direction if anybody would be kind enough.

No points in a spec unfortunately but you can compete on the seasonal events. The drift mode there will put you on the leaderboard or not as the case may be depending if your any good or not.
Alot of drifters on these forums seem to spend most of their time driftin online just for the fun of it

I wish there was driving events in aspec that earned you cash and xp but there is no sub thing

I'd advise against Drift Trial mode, the physics are altered and the scoring system doesn't line up with what's actually considered good in real drifting.

Wow calm down man. I really have a hard time believing this thread has interfered with your use of the forum in any way considering there are only about 5 active threads at any given time.

People like you scare people away from the forums :/ He has FIVE POSTS I think you can excuse him for making an introduction thread.

Iv been wondering about that, which of the three options (Drift trial mode, free run and online rooms) does the physics of the seasonal drift events most closley match? I'm not suggesting that there is a different set of physics for each mode but it is widely thought that there are some differences

Drift Trial. I really don't understand why the physics differences exist across the different environments...it kind of bothers me to be honest.

I don't get how they tried to create real life physics, but they manage to alter if you click a different mode, it doesn't make sense!
