New to GT Academy. have questions.

How can i race the Nissan leaf Race if i don't have the car pack? (sorry, i refuse to pay for any GT DLC) can i trade for one? it also says it has to be the GT version from GTA round 1...where's round 1?

At this point your only option is to borrow it from a friend for use in the time trial. See this thread:
