hey guys, new to the board, lurked a bit beforhand but now here i am.. little about me

i play gt because i have an obsession with tuning, been playing gt religously for about a year, reading on here there are some very interesting ideas about cars.

i'm a real life racer as well, i pilot an 87 GTA with a 5.7 liter 8 slug, runs the quarter in 14 seconds and change.

my friend/ tuning partner will be signed up soon. we've developed our own brand of tuning, i.e. many of the tuned cars i see are runing race tires. the problem with this is that you can make anything handle with enough tire, we reserve race tires for race cars, why? because in arcade you CAN'T run race tires on street cars and vice versa, a car is useless in competition if tuned for stickier tires. we tune cars to take out other cars on the same tires, sport softs most commonly. we also use no driving aids to accomplish this, they slow us down.

we're running 1'41's at el capitan on street tires, i honestly don't know where that falls on your scale but i can tell you it took alot of hours of r and d to make a street car go that fast there on street tires, we lay down 1'43's in fd's there as well, our 1032 hp viper is hundreths of a second slower then that but is not fully sorted out yet.

in anycase, we'll be sharing our stuff soon, taking and giving from the knowledge out there allready, maybe even cook up some american cars for all you non yankee's out there.. best wishes

thanks alot and the same to you!

The name of our humble shop: "Phoenix Speed Delivery"
time to make the name mean something;) best wishes

Does this garage sit in Colorado? Is it run by a old Japaneese man who drives a Hachi Roku? Maybe he should own a Zanzabar's instead.

we also use no driving aids to accomplish this, they slow us down.

I apologize for my post in the "Supra RZ" thread. You sounded like a noob running 20/20/10 aids, and that prompted me to say that.

The Supra is a mean SOB to tune, and doesn't like to deliver power smoothly.

Ah, well, my apologies.

You are welcome at the Mallender Racing tent any time, my friend.

well to start off, welcome. its good to see more tuners around here. but i just want to let you know a lot of garages like this have shut down quickly. a few are garage b, green flag, and there are a few others that have slipped my mind at the moment. i wasn't trying to shoot you down or anything, i just wanted to give you a heads up. any way good luck, i hope it all works out for you and if it doesn't you can just come here.

Garage B shut himself off, as in he quit visiting.

Green Flag is running in just the Tuner Garages thread.

I have a thread, but I get nil traffic.

MFT seems to be the only successful tuner.

Ah well, give it a shot.

as we have a slate of american cars allready tuned, we'll be posting those up as soon as possible. this will include,
1)Crossfire
2)2 different versions of the Viper
3)Iroc z
4)1970 Charger r/t(my father actually OWNS a 425 hp 70' charger)
5)Z06 corvette

thats just ones that are tuned enough that i feel confident to release after some touch ups. some recent break thru's in tuning have netted us an almost 2 second drop in our laps at El Capitan, our home track in the socal. my vspec nur is running fast but the viper is killing it! i'm a second ahead of the skyline at this track with both cars breaking 200 mph in the straight away! However the Nur spanked the viper vicously at grand valley last night so it's a drivers and a course race between the two.

In any case fully expect to see our garage release its first line of Pheonix spec cars in the next couple of weeks, it will take some time to get everything up because i want to do it right!

Ah, but the Charger runs a 440-6 Pack, not a Hemi, in game.

I like the big wedge better. It's cheaper to build one.

Oh, and you poisoned me. My FPV GT turned out too good on S2s to run R grades. It was no fun anymore. DANG YOU!

Nice, A fellow American muscle car garage.:)

I was wondering, would you mind to review my settings for the '65 Shelby Mustang?
That will be highly appreciated, and I will review any of your settings in return.

Thanks in advance

i'll check that mustang out tonight, i have a tuned one myself.

the shop isn't aimed at specifically american muscle but american in general with a few of the big contenders thrown in, expect a phoenix spec vspec Nur to be released in the near future. the only rule i refuse to break is SPORT TIRES. it makes a better driver out of you and you can actually use the car you built in arcade. look for our grand opening tommorow afternoon, tonight i need to do a lil photo mode and transplant that all to the laptop.

tommorow it's the crossfire, i haven't compared notes with the MFT model but ours is a fine lil slider and very fast for the power level, easy to drive as well. i'll also probably put in the supra rz i've been tuning for dimplz, it's a serious drift car with a terrific top end, faster even then our viper in the straight on at el capitan, and more vicious to control but rewarding!

thanks all for the interest, hope to see you at the opening.

Hey, Vince: I'll give it a hit. Not looking forward to buying another Series 1, but if I must...

Rockit: Nonono, driving 1960s race cars in a game with proper *realistic* physics makes you a better driver. No grip. Ever. And the brakes lock easy, real easy. Along with wheelspin being violent, instant, hard to control, and resultant in facing the wrong way.

I find a "street car" to be a stable racer on S grades, with no weight reduction. Big, heavy cars are good for that. The instant I drop weight, I want to run R grades, as I WILL NOT drive a gutted street car in real life.

The Supra will be interesting.

okay, appears i sold my ol mustang, but as the series one is an american supercar, i have no problems getting it and tuning it which will eventually lead to me getting the mustang again and trying your tune, sorry i thought i still owned it:ouch:. i have a tuned s179 that needs a lil refresher, i'll post up the series one eventually followed by a pony car war, the iroc z, the 2002 camaro, the new mustang and the ol shelby gt 350.

Hmm.

What happened, man? The instant you got modded, you became completely disrespectful! What's up? I don't quite get it.

For the Ponycar Wars, I'd like to see 1969 Z/28 Vs 1965 Shelby GT350, 2002 SS Vs 2000 Cobra R, 1969 SS Vs Cougar XR-7, and maybe a Chevelle Vs Cougar Vs 'Cuda Vs Charger 440.

See 'ya.

Kyle, for whom is the "what happened, man?" part meant?

i'm on a stint of garnering support from other websites for phoenix speed delivery. i'm also on a stint of ace combat zero, which will occupy me untill i get yellow 13's paint scheme, games games games....

pny car wars ought to be interesting, it's a long shot but i'm pulling for a 69 Z-28 302 to kick some A**

1969 SS Vs 1965 Shelby. I'll build the Shelby.

But first the 'Maro to see how much I have to limit the Shelby in the power department. (Or adding weight, but I don't do that)

I can't remember if the ss is a big block car, but if it is that's part of why i'm pushing the z-28. the 302 was an engine made solely for homologation rules to compete in the scca trans am series, meaning it's a smallblock made to wind up high with lots of hp, and be lighter to tackle the corners without as much understeer. The shelby was also used as a scca trans am car, are you willing to do a z-28 vs gt350 race? and what track are we building for?

SS=350 car.

I REALLY don't feel like getting a GT350... Maybe a Cougar? Sure, it's got a 390, but I think a Camaro can keep up with it if I keep it at NA 2 (About 550hp)

Just because I have about 10 of them.

Actually, this garage is getting a fresh start. Future is presently uncertain, as I am speaking with Rockit about making a two-way garage.

Oh, and Vince: Sounds good, and it's R-grade tires. R3 maximum?

Rotary, seriously, try to decide who you want to team up with. It's beginning to look a bit ridiculous with you participating in three garages simultanoeusly.

back to topic
try the plymouth thunderbird its great in the classic muscle car series and for a fun drive to. im going to try a drift setup with it :dopey: will let yaz know when i get it to drift
