My dad finally ordered new wheels for his garage ornament, but I don't like them...at all. He was talking about new M5 wheels, but I guess he decided not to.:banghead: IMO the 17in. wheels that came on it looked better, but...whatever.

Anyways, these things were all delivered yesterday afternoon. My dad's over in Asscrackistan until April so I decieded, with the help of my friend Robert, to put them on for 'em so they'll already be on when he returns.

Let me know what ya' think.

Sorry if the quality is bad, but the orignal size is like 900,000+kb, and I had to resize it to under 102,000.:banghead:

The 7 spoked wheels came on it. The one's like on this 328i.

Like the new wheels, but it's a close call on which set is better. I really like those 7-spokers.

He needs bigger brake discs and calipers now! :)

I doubt he would have ever gotten rid of the 7's had my soon-to-be ex-stepmom not ruined 3 of them from hitting curbs.:irked:

I've been searching like crazy trying to find out what they came from. I don't know where he bought them, or who he bought them from, but aaarims.com has the same wheels for sale under the 5 series section. They call 'em BMW 5 Sport Styles, and it says the M-Sticker is included.

Next time I talk to my dad I'll find out where he got them, what they're off of, etc.

540i with the sport package?

Nice wheels, looks like my mother's, except her's is black. ;)

Can't you check the return address on the package in which they were delivered?

They are not bad, but not as nice as the 7 spokes.

Unfortunately "not bad" is unacceptable for wheels that probably set him back what? 6-7 grand?

A friend of mines, dad bought after market rims for his 740i. They werent BMW rims, I think they were Speedlines but I'm not sure. Anyways, they caused the car to shake like mad at anything over 70km/h. He had several people try to balance them and everything. But BMW says its because not many aftermarket rims have the same offset as the BMW spec rims. Even though they are made to fit on a BMW with the same bolt pattern. Anyways, atleast he didnt get those.

Are the new wheels lighter or any bigger?

I'm assuming he ordered them off eBay because there isn't a company name on the boxes; just a name and address of a person.

Nah - I doubt they were even close to 2, especially if he ordered them from someone off eBay.

I don't know if they're lighter, but they're the same size. IMO he should've gone for 18s or 19s because those 17s look too small.:irked:

'Tis all about the BlingBLING, eh? :P

they are .........different. i for sure like them better than the OEM wheels though.

i think 18s would look better, or 17s with a higher profile tire. he probably isnt too worried about performance, so the bling bling 18s wouldnt hurt any. 19s or 20s would look pretty dumb.

I think they're ok. I've seen them on 540i's around here, so I'm guessing that's where they came from. I guess you can't beat new BMW M-sport wheels for $2,000. ;)

"They are 17 inch M Parallel's with 235-45-ZR17 Pirelli P7000 SuperSports."

Taken from an e-mail I just received from my dad.

After a thorough wash.

I think they're starting to grow on me a little bit.

Jesus, that turned out with horrible quality.:irked:

We need bigger file size limits.

I made this one smaller, and it looks a little bit better.

I asked him how much they were in an e-mail I sent him, and he answered every question but that one.:banghead:
