My latest accomplishment was the New York 200 miles. I had the hounor of driving a TVR Tuscan. It was quite difficult but that's why its called Endurance, You have Endure Cerbera Speed Sixes. The Good Lineup was: (not in any particular order)

1. Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1
2. TVR Cerbera Speed Six
3. Aston Martin V8 Vantage
4. Dodge Viper GTS
5. TVR T350C
6. TVR Tuscan

The first lap was pretty good, I jumped to 4th place and the ZR-1 Was lagging behind significantly. The second lap right through to the tenth were Quite Fun too as i jumped to the big First Place but The TVR Cerbera was always there behind me, I was about 11'28 away from it and i decided it was time to pit in. The driver of the Aston must have had the same idea and pulled in too. The T350C and the Cerbera Went straight ahead and i was slightly struggling to catch up the two of them.

The Sixteenth lap saw me crash the T350C Into a wall and see Cerbera 4 Seconds ahead, Then I came under the rare Viper Attack but that soon wore away and i was one second away from the Cerbera which must have had bald tires by now started fishtailing, I wen't straight past it and it went into the pit lane the next chance it had. The T350C Had obviously pitted in at some point in the race and i had the corvette on my tail up until my second pit stop, Lap Thirty-One, By that time the Cerbera was in third place and the T350C In Fourth, I was ready to overtake the corvette and that Cerbera went straight into the lead again making me third.

I was dueling with the Corvette ZR-1 For about 2 laps and then the Cerbera for about six and then at lap 57 i was ahead by nearly 20 seconds!, I entered the pit lane at lap 60 for the last time, I must admit, the Tuscan is fairly fuel efficient! At lap 69, the Cerbera was back again, I battled with until the very end but it wasn't settling for second, Lap 75 approached and the Cerbera passed me and eventually coming onto the straight at lap 76 I went straight past the other TVR, 5,4,3,2,1, FINISHED! I came first place and the driver of the cerbera which i could see through the wing mirror was Swearing.

I was so relieved and I discovered that A-Spec is better and alot more fun (Not to mention Time Consuming!) than B-Spec. And remember, NEVER SETTLE FOR SECOND BEST!

Good first report! +Rep for a fine effort!
Congrats on the A-spec win, what settings and tyres did you use for your Tuscan, or was it completely out-of-the-box stock?
How many A-spec points did you get?

Yes...some races are definately worth every penny in A-spec mode..i'm hoping New York will be one of them for me. It's good to see here that Danster is another "convert" from the evil Bob.

If you think about it, most of us who did GT1 and 2 and 3 are very used to A-spec driving (since there is no B-spec in early games) so the endurance races are something i'll not "share" too often with Bob. :guilty:

The Tuscan had a Stage 1 turbo i think, and i think i had about 99 a-spec points
