Go to Google Maps, and under Search Maps, type in "1808 Broadway, New York", and wait while the map appears.

Click on the Street View tab/button. A little man appears - click on him.

Enjoy.

You're looking north from the end of the long straight of the NYC course. Directly ahead of you is Columbus Circle. Swing the camera view to the left and you'll see the building that was under construction when they modeled the track. To your right, Central Park South leads you away from the roundabout and across the top of the track. Once you're in the camera view, you can click on the navigation arrows showing the street directions to move around in the 3D photo. You can also step back to the map view and drag your little man from place to place on the map.

Using AMG's track map, you should be able to get a real view of the entire NYC course. It looks like they've got all of Manhattan photographed.

Thx Duke for the reference 👍
The same "google" was done for getting the street names on the other tracks, and I used the GT3 section that you pointed out to me to get Seattle one right, that one gave me a bit of a headache.:ill:

:)

AMG.

Greetings Sir Duke, oh ye of eagle eye!
Accuracy is indeed the hallmark of the developers of this most excellent game, although I have been puzzled at the inclusion of the domed stadium in Seattle. It was where the Mariners played ball, but if memory serves me correctly, it was torn down, and not rebuilt. Of course memory fades at this age, so I may be wrong.
Fangio

You're right Fangio, but I think it was put in for nostalgic purposes.

Cool find Duke.👍 Isn't that how they made the game though, photographing the actual places and putting them into the game? I could of swore I read somewhere that's what they did for the Grand Canyon.

Does this have the same effect with "the ring"?

Edit: It does:D

just go to Europe with the map, type "nurburgring" in the search bar and voilà.:)

Those, unfortunately, don't have the "Street View" option, which gives you a ground-level, 360-degree interactive panorama of the location at very close intervals - every 50 or 100 feet. They've driven around Manhattan with a QuicktimeVR (or similar) setup on the roof of a van, taking shots every so many feet. So you get a real, detailed view of what it's like to drive in the location, not just a satellite map.

So far they only offer this option in:

* Denver
* Las Vegas
* Miami
* New York City
* San Francisco Bay Area
