I got GT5 on day 1, after a long wait. I played a lot initially, then put it away feeling somewhat underwhelmed. However, I have recently done the Spec 2 upgrade and, after remembering to turn off aids when I get in a new car, I am really enjoying the game. The staggering amount and diversity of cars is great, as well as the online stuff.
That's actually what prompted me to sign up here at GTP. I'm hoping to make some trades to fill out my garage with a couple of elusive cars.
I can share a morsel of wisdom that I've picked up for other newbies:
Oversteer is hitting the wall with the back of the car,
understeer is hitting the wall with the front.
