Newbie looking for online games

Hey, I have just about finished all the missions and circuit tests in gt sport and feel I am maybe ready for the big time online racing trip, how do I proceed? are there groups or such? have heard horror stories about the daily races and was wondering if there is an alternative, thanks.

I run a group called Car of the Week where we test different cars every week and decide if they are a beater or sleeper. We usually race Tuesday nights at 10PM CST unless there is a game update and then we race on a Wednesday. Feel free to drop by our post on the main page of Gran Turismo Sport.
