Yep, that's right. I now hate, despise, <lots of words depicting hate > Jacques Villeneuve.

I hate him because he ran wide on the first turn of the A1 Ring in final qualifying, leaving debris and **** on the track for none other than Mark Webber to collect in his final qualifying run.

Now there's no doubting that Webber has an amazingly fast car beneath him this season, with consistent top 5 qualifying efforts this season. Webber should have qualified at least 7th for last night's race, but that freakin' idiot Jacques Villeneuve stuffed him up.

And that is why I hate Jacques Villeneuve.

So, you hate a guy who has been racing in F1 for seven years, based on half a second of driving? Nice sample size!

You Australians kinda need to calm down over Webber. He's good, but it's not like he's the Messiah or anything!

Yeah, but he's the first Aussie driver since Jones, so of course we're gonna make a ruckus about him. ;)

Sheesh...

Being partly resonsible for the loss of Tyrrell and the establishment of BAR are far more valid reasons for hating him.

I don't hate him - I do regret the loss of his years at BAR. He was still pretty raw in '97 when he won his title, and if he'd been with McLaren through the late 90's/early '00s it would have been great to see how good he was.

That said, it would have been interesting to see where he'd have finished last night if he'd been in the top 10. Oh well.

And how long has it been since we had an Australian driver ;) in F1? to bloody long IMO and how many Englishman are there? (and have been there since Alan Jones or one of the Brabhams, cant remember which one) give us a break
 
It was (Sir) Jack Brabham as a matter of fact.

And yes, Mark ran an amazing race to finish where he did, but I still hate JV. ;)
 
Well, as for the Brabhams, there was David at Simtek, and Gary did try to pre-qualify the Life, in the early 90's.

I met Sir Jack once, at a touring car race at Phillip Island. I said hello to him and got no response, and I must have frowned - he smiled and said to me 'People think I'm a bit of an arsehole, but I'm just deaf and don't hear them'.

I'd love to meet Sir Jack. I reckon it'd be... um... interesting, to say the least, to compare one of the cars from his time against the F1s of today.

Of course, we must all remember that he said he didn't belong in F1 if he couldn't beat his team mate this year. Does anyone think he'll keep his word?
 
i didnt know there was a i hate villnerve club but im glad there is one now. its not the debrie adn webber incident which i hate him for, ITS HIS SMART MOUTH. he talks a load of rubbish [Language edited by moderator]! b.a.r will be competitive, button hasnt proven himself to me yet- some of the stuff he has said. waht a bunch of crud.

sorry mustang-man, i dont think scottie dixon will enter f1. it would be good to have a brisbane-born driver in there but i dont think he can cut it :( m'eh

Hell JV is probably one of the only drivers left that can challenge Shumi!!!
Just give him a good car!!!
Why do u think Shumi is winning championships... Cuz JV dosent have the car to challenge him...
(Shumi is just winning cuz he as a Ferrari)

This year is contract whit bar ends (finaly) and he is hopfully gonna change teams (He'd even go to ferrari if Shumi dosent mind a team battle)

Hell Ferrari would tell him to let Shumi by and he'd answer whit is finger stickin out of tha cockpit and 300 km/h!!!

Good point, but I do think he's been in such a [Language edited by moderator] car for so long that he porbably wouldn't know a fast car if it bit him on the ass now. So what I'm gettin at is that I think that if he hadn't of gone with BAR he would still be a bloody quick driver, but the fact he has, has destroyed his career. I think that JV is a has been now like Coulthard, and if he did get an equal car with MW (Mark Webber), Mark would blow him away. Not his fault, but no doubting that he's had his time.

P.S. I personally are a member of the "I hate Jacques Villenerve club", because he's another Eddie Irvine where he still thinks he's all that when really he's had it and that he slagged Button off, without giving him a chance and now he's been beaten by him, it put's him in his place!
 
Also one last thing: I think Webber is an equally good youngster as Alonso and a future World Champion. He's a genuine nice bloke whos a [Language edited by moderator] demon behind that Jaguar.
 
That's agreed.

There was a post above that said to hate Honda and not JV, and that's a fair point, because it was the car that left debis, BUT - it was JV driving it, wasn't it? ;)
