Another year of NFL action will take form starting with Preseason NFL action next month. The college boys will have a week or two of fun until the boys of Sunday and Monday Night go at it. I'm usually known for extravagant introductions, but you're free to let us all know who is the team to watch. And answer questions like these:

* Will Indianapolis (defending champions) return to and win the Super Bowl?
* What team will be the most improved?
* Any surprise teams or players we should be concerned about?
* Is there a chance that a powerhouse could fall apart this season? If so, who?
* Is there a chance that a lower team could become the surprise team of the season? If so, who? And how far can they go in the playoffs (granted this team makes it)?

NFL talk. Nothing more, nothing less. Kick this bad boy off!

I just extremely eager to see the progress made by Cam Cameron with the Dolphins. I want to go to some preseason games to watch John Beck and Ted Ginn play.

* Will Indianapolis (defending champions) return to and win the Super Bowl?
Not a chance. They only won last year because the NFC was so weak!
* What team will be the most improved?
Arizona, The second year for Matt Leinart will be the difference maker.
* Any surprise teams or players we should be concerned about?
After yesterday you should be concerned about the Falcons. 👎
* Is there a chance that a powerhouse could fall apart this season? If so, who?
I'm not sure if you still want to call the Patriots a power house still but I thinking this season is going to be a tanker for them.
* Is there a chance that a lower team could become the surprise team of the season? If so, who?
Tennese Titans...Vince Young...need I say more?!

Yeah, the Falcons and that scumbag Vick are going to have a doozy.

Well, I am always hopeful for the Rams.......

The Falcons are in trouble. I never liked Vick much and now that they have Louisville's former coach it just made me laugh. Bobby Petrino hates the press when things are going good.

I agree that Leinart at Arizona should be coming into his own this season, but I think it should all come together next year.

Well, here is me with fingers crossed that Steve Jackson, Torry Holt, Marc Bulger, and my Rams can get it together this year. All that talent and they still struggle. Now do I buy a new jersey or keep wearing my worn out Faulk replica jersey? By worn out I mean it accidentally made it into the dryer. :ouch:

Oh, and if anyone is interested I started a thread for a possible GTPlanet Fantasy League. See my signature for the link.

Sure, they aren't a top flight team, but I'll of course be watching my Houston Texans. The mood among most Houstonians is that we need to push for the playoffs. We want our team to make it to the playoffs like the Houston Oilers (now the Tennessee Titans) used to do under Warren Moon. Will we get there? Probably not. I liked David Carr. Just too bad they don't have an offensive line to protect the Fresno State Bulldog. Now we get Matt Schaub(?) from the Falcons. Andre Johnson is still our franchise guy. I loved the tandem of Andre Johnson and Eric Moulds. Gary Kubiak will need to keep bringing out the best in his team on offense and defense. Special teams will be pretty good for what I know. Their best record was 7-9. The Texans will need to work hard to get to acheive their first winning season. The longshot for my boys is that they get the AFC Wild Card. I'll need to look online to see what their schedule will be.

At least this is the mood here in Houston. Carry on. And yes- I'll be concerned as to Michael Vick and his situation. The season starts in September, but they may be screwed well before then.

You and the Texans sound like me and the Rams. You just keep hoping for a little more every year and keep trying to figure out why it doesn't work out.

As for Michael Vick: I think there is something wrong with his family. His brother is stomping on players in college and causing other problems to get booted from the team and now if these allegations about Michael are true and what they did to those puppies, these are sociopathic behaviors. While my thoughts on animal rights are rather insensitive to the animals, I do know that someone who does these things for entertainment needs psychological help.

I think the 9ers are in for a better year. Hell they almost made the playoffs last year.

Not if my hawks have anything to say about it!:sly:
