Really? Usually LE's are $10+ more. There is no price difference between the normal and LE version, simply a limited number of normal versions will have the codes.(at least from what I read)

Oh wow. Fail on me for not reading. That's what the article you posted says.

Why not just give the cars to everyone?
EA's plan is more than likely, "Hey, we know you're undecided, but what if we throw in 6 cars unlocked from the start & 2 of them exclusive to your game? All for the same price as regular edition?"Argh, reading comprehension is hard. My bad.
Still, I don't see how this helps them any more than it hurts. You just then have a strictly better version of the normal game, and people who don't have access to it for whatever reason (no suitable retailers in their town, availability, whatever) are going to be rightly pissed off. You could conceivably see someone going to the shop to buy it, finding the LE is sold out and then not making the purchase out of pique.

Why are they so stupid at PD? Why are they letting EA to include SLS but they don't allow them to include Porsches. PD should make special contract with MB if you ask me.
Yeah, this video brings back memories from Most Wanted. Didn't like this new one though for some reason..
Maybe because of the cops being able to smash into you from behind even if your going 160mph..
I can see your point, but they have been pretty much the same format since Need For Speed 3:Hot Pursuit(and possibly before). There's no need to drastically change them anyway as the average person won't understand all the police codes and call-signs etc. We also saw in the most recent video posted that the important information during pursuits is given to you seperately in-game too.Maybe because of the lines spoken by the police were basically the same as they were in most wanted...
The sounds were also annoying - nothing has changed...
What? PD has nothing to do with the SLS being in Hot Pursuit, that's Mercedes' decision and there's alone.
Well Porsche has obligated to EA that they wont allow others to incorporate Porsches unless EA issues sublicense and allows others to include Porsches in the games of other developers only under EA allowance cuz Porsche signed a deal with EA that only they have the right to incorporate their cars in the games, others only by EA's allowance.
PD could make the same deal with MB since sls in their cover and they were first to incorporate it any game.
i hope i made myself clear here
I bet after 5 months of release, the exclusive cars in the LE will be available to be purchased on the PS store/Marketplace... That's what CG did with Burnout's DLCs...what was supposed to be exclusive to a limited # of people, CG decided to release the Raijin Turbo for free in an update, but could only be used online.
Maybe so, but why bother waiting for the LE cars when you can get them for the same price as the copy without them?I bet after 5 months of release, the exclusive cars in the LE will be available to be purchased on the PS store/Marketplace... Nice list, actually. My only complaint is that there's far too many Porsches. I mean, do we REALLY need 7 cars that look exactly the same?
Far too many? Look exactly the same?
1. There are only seven, I believe Shift had more Porsche's.
2. No. Just, no.
When it comes to EA and the Porsche license my continuous complaint is that they don't know how to use the license whatsoever. If anything, they probably have it for bragging rights; give it Sony or Microsoft, no just Sony....because Microsoft already has Ferrari.
Either way, give it to a company that would, you know, actually use the damn license and not recycle the same damn modeled vehicles fifteen times over, throwing in two or three new models.
How can you sit there & correct SS and then make such an uninformed post, mate?

Besides the McLaren....I mean, look at that list, do you see and thing older than 2005?

The only Porsches carrying over from Shift is the Carrera GT & Cayman S, though the Cayman S is actually the more updated version.
EA have the license to use Porsches in their games exclusively b/c it sales. They leave out the older models, but that's about the only thing they haven't done that PD would. But they threw in a lot of muscle cars for Shift, so who knows.
EA have included the 992 GT2 before. Most Wanted featured the '04 version & I think Porsche Unleashed even had the Mk. I.Even so, I can't recall ever having seen the 996 GT2 ('02 or '04) and I've always wanted to use that in a game considering I was so fond of it when it was first unveiled, tested, etc... The Carrera 4 (996; I think it was the 4 or was it the 4S....) however did make the cut. Not really much of a big deal, but they seem less enthused concerning variety and just throw in more newer models than anything else. It really can't be that difficult to include models at least dating back to the beginning of the 90's.
Hopefully, Criterion will bring up the idea soon after release. In any case I wonder how long into the lifespan of HP will Microsoft decide it's time for another Ferrari DLC exclusive?
