VERY disappointed with this latest release from EA - simply cannot overcome the steering problems despite trying various settings both in-game and 'on the wheel'.
There are references on the back of the disc box stating compatability with 'wheel' and 'force-feedback wheel' - yet clearly this is not the case.
I am of the opinion that the game should 'run' reasonably well 'out of the box', the array of additional customising options being available for those wishing to fine-tune default settings.
From what I've read so far, it seems everyone is experiencing similar issues - I have not read one comment anywhere yet which claims anyone has satisfactorily achieved optimimum settings for this game when used in conjunction with a wheel.
Surely, when EA state ' this is the next level of immersion' they are not referring to everyone spending relentless hours of frustration trying to get the cars to drive properly. No - surely they invisaged everyone rushing home, loading up the game and thrashing round the tracks all night!
A simple thing like trying to access the tabs within the 'options' menu via the LT and RT buttons on the wheel - well... anyone figured this one out yet?
Unless I'm totally 'off the mark' - I really do think everyone should simply return their purchase and demand a refund as the goods are clearly 'unfit for the purpose for which they are intended'.
Anyone tried the game using a standard controller - not something I'm used to using - but it didn't seem much better to me either - the whole thing needs to go back to the workshop.
Please give these issues some thought - constructive comments appreciated - Provide me with more ammo as I intend to take these issues up further with EA if no resolution is reach very soon.
