NFS Shift Racing League season II (Arvore's Playground)

It's cool, Fresh! All we can really do is keep the lag issue in the forefront of our minds while racing, and try our best to keep cool heads if there are issues. In the case of passing us, the bigger the hole for you- the better for us!

On another note, I was thinking about and testing combos last night. I've come up with the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution on Willow Springs GP track. Going by my (slow!) lap times, a twelve lap race would run around 15mins long. Sound good to you guys?

Is that the Evo 9 or 10? LOL I can't follow how Mitsibishi calls their cars.. for me, your idea is perfect:sly:
 
I'm liking this weeks races and cars so far.
I'm not very good racing Unrestricted cars, since switching to the wheel.
And I really have not ever enjoyed them.
10 is my favorite.
Hopefully I will be able to race this weekend.
 
I'm with ya, BRP. I havn't really ever been a big fan of the unrestricted cars or races. I'm more of a 'momentum car' fan! I would gladly take a Scion Tc over a Koenigsegg CCX.......in the game at least! Hoping you can race this weekend, looking forward to sharing the track with you!

Ok, then we'll have no FWD races. It is not a problem for me (you know i hate them) but I thought you know you have to choose an FWD car.
BTW, I like your idea! (I only tried this car before the dlc, I hope the bug of the car's handling is corrected (it was bumping unreal..)

Edit: I like the picture LOL
 
Oops!! That might have been me that screwed up the car selections to get all the drive layouts (FF,RR,AWD,MR)- I took another AWD car!! I didn't know the Escort Lefty chose was AWD!!!! My bad guys, I'll throw together an FF combo if you'd like. Let me know!

There was a problem with the handling of the Carerra GT before the DLC? I have to be honest, I've only driven the GT once.....in an invitational spec race on Spa actually, and I just couldn't get her to handle well!! Was it the thing where the front suspension bounces into the air?

I said I was thinking of a different layout weekend, But I asked you guys to just pick a good combo of which you didn't.
You picked great ones and as for sharks It's amazing. I have raced this In a league race before.
I was dreading It but actually loved every minute of It. Not sure If the videos on youtube If not a few laps are on my bonus title.

My combo: Stock Honda NSX at Silverstone GP

After I had to update the PS3 system, i have big problems.. Maybe the mistake is not in the PSN, Maybe EA, I don't know, The only i can do is to pray... I want to race and not to restart my system in every 5 min... :(

Hey guys,

I completely forgot that this weekend is Independance Day here!! Sadly, that means that I'm not going to be able to make it to the league races this Saturday.

My family hosts a big party with a whooole bunch of super-cool fireworks, so I'll be there the whole day on Saturday(here's to hoping I have all my fingers come Sunday!!!). I'm not sure if anyone else is going to be missing the races, but I'd be willing to meet them on Sunday for make-ups if they'd like to though. Points don't matter much to me, but I'm gonna miss racing with you guys!! If I don't talk to you all before then, I wish you all the best of luck!!

Otherwise, I'm getting out of work early today, about 1930GMT, if anyone would be interested in burning a couple laps in practice, I'd definately be down with it! I still really want to try everyones combos, so I'll be clowning around with those tonight.
 
I'll be on later on, testing out the Works Escort. I had the care before and tossed it, now I haveta get it back on track.
 
Guys for the second time SCC Event and Shift league have the same schedule,last time it happened- 8th of May- I did the shift races...this time I'm going to SCC:tup: Good luck ya all and have fun:)

I remember the race well one of the most enjoyable yet.
Also the M1 pro car on the ring was good to.

But racing with arvore, the hog, steveo, ricky, kemp, aldo, manny was always fun and always close.

This week's combos are Great! All of them! And the races will be very close I think.
I hope there will be no lag problems this time...
It looks my connection problems are gone finally:)
 
What a weekend! I don't know how do you feel, but I enjoyed all the races!
Specially the Spa and Silverstone race.
At Spa I was close behind Shark all the way, and in Silverstone I had side-by side battles with Lefty and Adddictions. Now I think I know your style and thinking during driving, it is great.

I'll post the results and the videos as soon as possible.
I hope this time it won't be so boring to watch the videos LOL
(my cam's battery was very low so the last lap at Silverstone is not recorded:( )

I thought Shark's video will show a critical moment in Silverstone between us, but he was far away...:(
I think it happened in the 1st lap when I tried to get over you. Just before the 2nd chicane I was very close to you, I thought you had the same break distance as I had, but i was wrong... I saw I can't stop in time, had a big break and tried to steer to the opposite direction as you, even if i knew I'll go out of the track, but I pushed your car's back (a bit lag problem helped in this because I didn't feel any contact between us) and after I saw back the video I've seen I spinned you out..:( Sorry mate! You'll see on my video I tried everything to avoid this accident. It was an amateur mistake, I should give much more space for you next time! Sorry once more!

On the 24th I will be going on holiday and will return on the 31st so will probably miss 2 weeks racing.
I will be able to post the race schedule for the 24th but not the 31st so If you guys want to race you will have to organise them between yourselves.
It's also my birthday on the 25th.

Jay, are you going to choose the combos by yourself for next week's races or we have to give some ideas for you?

Just a question guys: If it fits for everyone, we should make a change for this two weekend. If we can make the race on 23th (Friday) and 1st (Sunday), Jay can do the races as well. Of course if Jay thinks this is ok for him! Waiting for responds..

Else: I saw Fresh tried to join us (with a big late..) but I only saw the system massages: Fresh is online, then offline, and it changed 10 times in 1 min. Man, how do you want to complete any races with a connection like this? lol
