The Rx7 is total rubber band powered so DL the 10th place ghost and get to within 3 sec and you'll do fine.

GT5 is different than GTP and the TT demo.

I sure hope so but I know it will be an accuracy tracking type of handling package like prolog at least and nothing like Shift

GT was always easy to drive, they have physics that seem more to life than other games IMO.

Man, you'll se that i'm also just a little ant comparing to the giants of racers in GTPlanet or enywhere else.. you'll be so much surprised in your 1st race against them.. Just one example. I've tried to get into the SCC league, but I saw that i have absolutly no chanse against the drivers there, I was very fustrated...

Well, GT5 looks to be a clean slate. I just hope the physics are more accurate so that certain 'tuners' will not have such a cheatful edge. Seriously all you have to do is decode what does what and certain tuning can make your car 3-5 seconds faster per lap. It's an unfair advantage. I hope someone will make a league with a set tuning parameter limit or HP limit or something along those lines. Which is why I like using stock race cars and their stock tunes. It equals it out a little bit. Practice makes perfect though.

It's possible, I've heard of it being done. I've raced against a few guys in shift who do that too. They figure out through some program what values of what settings do what to what car, blah blah and they get the PERFECT tune down to make their car literally fly past you. I remember racing a guy in a 14 rate race and his Gallardo was doing 200mph easy on the straights at Road America. I can't get past 180! I've tried numerous settings, never works. With or without body kit. So yeah, it's possible.

Anyway, is anyone else going to join me with the GT2 Class cars? Or GT1 cars?

Unfortunately Fresh speaketh the truth. I won't go into to much detail but a select few have figured a way to maximize their their mods without the rating affecting them. This cheat really pisses me off because you can have the best most finely tuned Gallardo for example in a 14 rated race and just get absolutely smoked by a car that is actually a 18 rated car. You will know the racers when you come across them. Damn I hate cheaters!!!

After I've played the other racing game and now I came back to shift, it was terrible. It was just like ice-skating.. no grip no real physics. I felt my head wants to blow up

I didn't get to race today, g/f troubles oh well, I'll be on tomorrow to race in the endurance races, even if Mo isn't there I hope we can carry it on because Shi(f)t is all I have as a racing game as of now.

To whom it may concern……..lol, I am reflecting on how I came to being here and it was a Christmas present from Little Lefty as well as the GT5 TTC contest that was held at the beginning of the year. The person that won the contest had the GTP_ ahead of his name. it was that prefix that got me curious as to how so many people at the top were using that prefix and I wanted to see where they came from. Wala I found GTP and with a little looking around I saw a racing organization that used the NFS Shift game. Man did this place make the game exciting and it gave the game real purpose. I started out struggling to be able to stay up with the pack and couldn’t figure out how I was going to finish on the podium let alone win one of these things. I didn’t have much respect for the computer driving thing because that was my crutch, but sometime we make excuses to make our inadequacies less painful.

I gave the whole practice makes perfect thing a shot and everything changed, yes there were people that used to race in this league and are now gone because they got their fill of the game, and I wish they were still here so I could compare how I am doing now to when they were handing my head on a regular basis but I think this will always be the case and I will think about what great people they are and how they represented themselves. I came to realize that it’s the acquaintances that I have made in this place that really mater and not standing on the cyber podium. Thanks for the memories

I hope we can all have this much fun in GT5. I bet we'll have even more fun. Shift was lousy, on and offline. Still a racing game is just that, a game. Only a month and a half away and GT5 will be in our PS3's garnering a lot of time. I hope to master it before I challenge online. I'm sure the content will be vast, so a good month or so before you'll see me trying to join leagues. I gotta get my 'gt legs' back.

It was always a pleasure to race with You guys(the only season I missed was this last one when I got a little bored with the game and realized that You can't be competitive in two leagues involving two different games at the same time(races on Saturday in shift and Sunday in SCC ) during the several months I participated.👍
I've met a lot of fine and fair racers 'round here that I hope to find in GT5 or other racing games.

I think our resident expert BOXOX might be able to shed some light on what's happening here

Btw I raced two of the very fast ones on the leaderboards on the weekend. Both did 1.24xxx on Silverstone GP. I couldnt figure it out how they could do it in such a fast time. Parked my car behind a barrier and just watched them the next race. Well, no surprise they just took shortcuts across the grass etc. As you said Ricky I hate cheaters

The public lobby is filled w/ punks and losers who act as such. There is nothing to be gained by playing the game in the PL except frustration and a realization that you need a different driving game. Quick someone freeze me into suspended animation until GT5 comes out

1:24's are good times for Silverstone International! Those times in Silverstone GP are nuts. Damn cheaters. I'm gonna get online and have a go at some of the public lobbies. I can usually own them all with the Gallardo in 14 rate races. Unlimited I get out the DBR9 if it's the ring because it's so stable. The only thing is trying to avoid those who bump you off track. If you can get enough of a lead they won't catch you up the long straight where they can pull off 380kmh in the Murcielago!
