i dont know which car to pick for road America.
most seem to preform well there.

the zonda is fast in the corners and grips quite well but it lacks that straight line speed.

the lambo has the power and is drifty, but the over steer can cause the car to get round a little bit slower than the zonda.

or the CCX which is so hard to manage at the best of times but is so so fast once that turbo lag wears out the boost just takes the car into warp speed.

I've tried the CCX on Road America about 6 Time Attacks in a row now, adjusting the dampers and springs and gearing etc., each time and I think it's just too bumpy a track for that car to be happy on.

I'd make a 1 decent lap out of the three laps in the time attack. The other two were spent driving back onto the track from the numerous "offs" caused by hitting a bump when I was in a corner.

It's a fun car to drive just for the challenge of it, but I don't think it'll be the car of choice for RA.

CCX is not the best deal there. Z R and LP 640 would dust this car at the start and then during corners there is nothing that CCX could pull off his hat. Only one track where CCX is the ultimate killer is Dakota Tri-Oval.

What?? no rating 14 at Laguna Seca 👎

Some people are never satisfied... sigh...

The Gallardo loves the Tokyo track though... of course if you don't have the aero kit your pretty well screwed, but who would ever drive that car without the areo kit? :embarrassed:

well i hope to put that the test tonight if anyone is available for a few laps of road America, i just want to see how the ccx differs in the corners to the lambo and zonda

Although I probably won't use it in the race, the Corvette Z06 Works runs in the 1:58's without any problems. The rear is a little jumpy, but adjusting the dampers & rebound will fix that.

I'll give the Lambo a try next...

EDIT: Yeah, for me the Mercielago Works is faster by at least two seconds, before any adjustments.

yea the lambo is a highly usable weapon and now after getting to grips with the CCX i find the zonda a doddle to drive .

i just love that surge of power the ccx has

sorry i know this has nothing to do with need for speed i just had to show you all this dont know if you have seen it before.

I will most likely go with the Lambo because it diffenitly gives me the best lap times but the concentration of keeping it on the track for 10 laps will be quite a challenge, I always feel like I'm right on the edge with the Lambo at RA. I just got done racing some talented German boyz for 8 laps on Road America and I was wore out by the time it was done. The Zonda definitely is a lot less stress for me to drive on Road America but the Lambo can pull out some amazing lap times, game time decision for me...

Hi guys found out the reason why i could not keep the lambos on the track last night, it is due to my g25 setting's resetting to default for some reason i dont get it, maybe me switch between pad and the wheel has done it :indiff:.

but i now have to spend all that time dialing them in again for Saturday i cannot for the life of me remember the settings i had as i rarely ever looked at them once i got it to My liking.
And when a bought the game i played it twice then waited till my g25 came them i throw my self in the deep end g25 no assists full H pattern and the clutch and it took me a month to get settled with the game them it took me 2 month to get the settings just rite and believe me that is a hell of a lot of laps on the nurburgring.

so now i have to go through most of that carp again, anyone else had this trouble

YAWN YAWN it takes a man to handle the lambo, your excuses mean nothing, buy a pink micra and start there :D

you are so lucky i am in the other group or you would be mine mr stevo :sly::lol:lol::lol::lol:.

its really got me puzzled as to why this is happening as just after i posted in this thread i went back to my g25 and the settings i had just put in had changed them selves back to the default setting, the save game logo comes on the screen to say the settings are saved i just dont get it ???:indiff:
I hope there is nothing wrong with my wheel i dont think i could bear going back to the joy-pad :nervous:

ah didnt see this so i am not the only one glad at that, its so annoying i am going to have to write them down on my computer in case it happens again, has it ever happened to you in between online races ?
