So, your impressions so far?

I really like this game. Ok, the controls are similar to nfsu and the amount of grip is silly. But the environmental is very beautiful and I really like the feeling of being in a town. The driftcomps could have been scrapped but the racing events are fun. And it runs much smoother than the first title too.

Overall I give it a 3.5/5

The steering is sluggish, the drag mode is even worse now (it's very easy to spin out if you're using a steering wheel and not paying close attention), traffic still commonly appears right at the apex of your turn, driving around everywhere is a pain in the ass, and there's lots of unlocking. But, it's still a good game. It's got the same gameplay style as the first one, and that's what makes it great. Despite it's numerous flaws, the game is still very good. I'd give it 80%.

And the drift AI cars actually help mne out a bit. They've tried to spin me out numerous times, giving me some big drift points

I just saw the commercial for it and I've played the Burnout3 Demo. I mean the NFSU2 Demo on BO3. Is NFSU2 out yet?
It is if you know where to get it. But, it should be out on Tuesday (same day as HL2... brilliant move by EA's marketing department there).

Yep, saw that too. Quite surprised the first time it happened. :)

Based on what I saw from the NFS U2 demo on Burnout, I don't think I'll be getting this one. Not too much different fundamentally from the first one and the actual driving wasn't fun at all.

My wheel just crapped out on me :(. Power nolonger gets to the wheel, no force feed back no return to center. *sigh.

I dissagree with Evo. The steering is very good. it just takes getting used to.

What is the fascination with the MX-5. Over here it's considered one of the gayest cars on the road, driven by hairdressers and women who are fooled into thinking it's a cheap Ferrari.

Oh man.

I laughed while reading that, one of the best replies I've read on GTP. 👍

Anyways, about the MX-5. I would have bought it, but I had it for so long in NFSU1 that I got something else. However, as far as the 'fascination' subject is concerned, it is one of the best cars in the beggining, and middle, of the game.

Even so...

240SX.

Well, depends on how you think :)

I feel the BMW Z coupe with the teeny weeny engine is gayer. Not the M version though.
