Nice idea for GT5

I have a nice idea for GT5,
wouldn't it be great to see which lines you took (or at least wich lines you took during your fastest lap) after driving?
Just having GT draw you a picture of the track with your lines on it.
Seems quite easy to implement and it would be a great feature because you can probably tell where you could win some time in advance.

Good idea. Whenever i try to follow my ghost i always crash because i cant see the corners properly. If you could "save" different lines and chose which one to load, it would be very helpful.

It's one of those features (like the track analyzer) that sounds neat, but I personally wouldn't use it more than a handful of times.

I think thats where skidmarks would come in handy in a way. if you brake late and lock up the brakes, the skidmarks would show your late braking so u would know to brake earlier.

When i see the skidmarks from my too late braking and then start to brake, i will brake too late again.

The idea of the op is good, i wouldnt use it (too arcadey), but it would be great for newbs to learn how to take corners properly and definitely better than an annoying ghost car.

The data logger in GT3 was used alot in OLR to confirm clean laps and learn where you could make up time. It did the same thing as described by the OP, if you knew how to read it. It never made it into GT4 (from what I remember, though it's been a long time) but it would be nice to see it in GT5, though with saved replays, ghosts and the like I'll assume PD is going there for that type of analyzation.

My idea is restrict a car selection (Specifically) in a private online match. Like F430 vs GTR vs Z06 vs Ford GT and so on. You have choices to race a tuned,stock, or race car.

Hey guys, let me make clear how I exactly meant it.
I don't mean that the line you drove should be visible on the track during your next laps, I mean that after a few laps you can see the line of your fastest lap on a picture of the track in the race menu. That does not make it arcady, because in real life you could use GPS for it.
And because it is much easier to see where you could win time if you could see you lines from above than if you have the guess wich line you took whilst driving.
What do you all think?

I think Enthusia had something similar, though I don't remember if it actually showed the line you took. You could see where you went off the track or had collisions in each lap, or something like it. It'd be a nice to have feature.

[For licences I usually never have a look at the best line...I try to find it out myself..]
So: a further nice option this would be...but kaz should focus on the basics...

It is a good idea. An idea that comes from that would be:

To be able to 'save the driving line' on a good lap. You know, to use for future reference.

Currently i would list that as possible GT5 DLC or put in the 'suggestions for GT6' pile. I don't think it has been implemented into GT5.

Take a look at this, it is from original F355 Challenge game for arcades (later for Dreamcast, than PS2) which had the greatest and most usable analyzer ever in video-games. "Most usable" is the key word.

I'm waiting for something like that since 1998.
