The SCCA National Championship Runoffs is the end-of-year championship race meeting for SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) Club Racing competitors. Divisional champions and other top drivers from the SCCA's 112 regions are invited to participate at the Runoffs. National championships are awarded to the winners of each class. The race took place at Road America in 2012. In 2012 Jim Goughary entered the race in a Nissan 350Z in the GT2 class (A class filled with racing versions of sports cars such as the Porsche 944, Porsche 911, Mazda RX-7, Toyota Celica and Sunbeam Tiger) and qualified 3rd on the grid with a lap time of 2:17.053. He finished second in his class, 18 seconds behind the winning 911 GT3.
