Another DW kind-a-car from Nissan...Seems like an attempt to bring DeltaWing and Zeod technology on the everyday roads. Thoughts?

Interesting. Don't really know what to think other than that. Any idea on who they are going to try and compete against with it? MX-5? GT86?

They might not be competing against anything at all with it.

The biggest factor will be the price. It's easier to pigeonhole it by price at least, but in reality who else offers a three-seat, delta-winged electric sports car? It could appeal to a totally different sort of person from a MX-5 or GT86 buyer in reality.

That said, I'm a fan of both of those cars and I want one of these very badly indeed.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this thing will get GX3'd after Nissan goes on, and on, and on about how much they want to build it. It is a nifty, if a shade awkward, idea... But I doubt a reasonable production case could be made, centering not just around the idea of the car, but also for safety concerns - particularly in the US.

I adore the thing! There I said it

I love the BladeGlider! It's concept-car-cool and I really do hope it gets made!

The first time I read the thread title, I thought what is this RC (Radio Controlled) car doing in this forum. :P

It has a three seat setup like the first Mclaren F1. 👍

Guess Panoz suing them doesn't mean jack squat.

Well it's about to get even more interesting.

The similarity did not escape Don Panoz, who – after making sports and racing cars under his own name and founding the now-defunct American Le Mans Series – was a central figure in bringing the original DeltaWing to life. Now Panoz has filed a lawsuit against Nissan, soliciting the courts to issue a cease-and-desist order on both the ZEOD RC and BladeGlider projects, naming Nissan motorsport chief Darren Cox and Ben Bowlby (who defected to Nissan from the DeltaWing program) as part of the suit.

I think Don P. should go suck a lemon. Stupid copyright bullcrap ruining technology yet again.

What happened to DeltaWing being open source?

Looks really neat. I'm sure the efficiency from the deltawing will be carried over to this, if they ever put it in production.

Here's my guess: Panoz hasn't done anything worthwhile in years but has seen the whole DeltaWing thing taking off, now wants a piece of the pie.
It's more Chip Ganassi being Chip Ganassi, since he owns DeltaWing, LLC.

So it's Ganassi V. Panoz? Does anyone else see this ending badly for both sides?

Hopefully they can put aside their differences before legal wranglings kill the Deltawing and the ZEOD

In a perfect world both sides would grow up and work together on both cars, pooling their resources. Not going to happen though
