Thanks @05XR8 for providing the link, the pics & the extra technical info. I really appreciate it 👍
Being from Melbourne, I was there that day at Sandown as a dead keen 16 year old. I had to get two trains but it was always worth the effort. The thing I remember the most from that day & the first time I met Skaife, is not knowing who the hell he was
Like most fans, I had an autograph book. I'd previously got my autographs on the official program of the day. Being a bit OCD, I had a page reserved for the drivers with their name written out at the bottom of each page. As I was getting Glenn Seton, George Fury & Fred Gibson to fill the blanks, Seton asked me if I'd like Skaife's autograph as well. I remember thinking who's this guy and asking "Are you a driver?" :embarrassed: After a bit of laughter between Seton & Skaife, I learned he was the driver of the Gazelle and was shown the car in the pit bay. Absolute immaculate presentation to say the least.
28 years ago  Where did the time go

Why is it when I try to be helpful someone always, ALWAYS points that out?
Because of this:
added the BTR...
It is the most fun I have had testing a car, with the possible exemption of the Elise (but that was in the old list) so far. You need a delicate touch to drive it quickly... but it is very rewarding when you do. Might do a time with the car detuned to Porsche 930 Turbo stats later today.
oh
I barely notice it.
as did I (also if anyone wants a friend I think I still have room for some more)
just looked at the Dacia and now I agree with the CRZ wing thing, but I think that Pikes Peak cars shouldn't be allowed to have so much power and aero:

One day a car will fail and someone will have a bad accident... Like Group B. But liked anyway, I always loved the CRZ.

Just a sampling. ;)

Good stuff. 👍 I was 16 in 1987 also but, living in NYC and following Indy cars at the time. Time sure has flown the coop!

 No, different Peter Jackson. The guy(?) with the large moneybags is actually Phillip Morris & Peter Jackson is one of his many aliases :P
