Almost as ironic as an Australian advertising for another Japanese manufacturer...Its also funny to see a little british kid do zoom, zoom for a Japanese car maker, now thats hilarious. Nothing wrong with it, just a little ironic.

It was a Toyota Tundra I believe.Originally posted by retsmah
I like the old one for... either a toyota or nissan pickup, where it is drag racing against an Esprit, the truck gets owned in the beginning but then the track becomes all offroad and bumpy and the esprit spins.
I also like the one where the esprit pulls up next to the thunderbird, the woman gets out and drops the thing, the esprit takes off while the thunderbird slowly pulls up and the driver says "need a ride" or something along those lines.
Why is it that the poor esprit is always gettting screwed? why cant it just find a car that will actually do a 1/4 mile race with it? .

I don't really get what the Thunderbird commercial was trying to prove though. Is it saying, "I'm a $40,000 car made up of pieces out of Ford's parts bin and probably around $50,000 with the markups and can't even run a decent quarter mile time with the V-8 I have so I have to wuss out."?
I'm not a big Thunderbird fan if you didn't notice. :argue:
