I currently have a 1985 celica gt-s. I paid a total of 1800 for and it has it problems which is to be expected. This car has pissed me off in more ways then one and has even gotten to the point of me wanting to sell it and just get rid of it BUT... I haven't and the way things are looking right now (got a good friend to help me and got a new job) I'm going to be fixing here up back to 100%. When i bought it, it had 105k and needed exhaust work, front struts, windshield wiper needed to be fixed, passenger window motor replaced, trunk lock, and ignition. I am in the process of getting it fixed (waiting for parts now). The car and body are in decent shape for an old Toyota. It has minimal rust both body and frame. The previous owner did a shoody job wiring and doing everything else at that a real half a$$ job... I will be getting the body repaired and painted in the summer once i save enough up. Let me know what you think.

Your Celica is so cool! Glad you are fixing it up, totally worth it, has pretty low mileage as well. I hope everything goes well brotha.

I think it deserves mention how shoddily done the fog light wiring was. The previous owner literally ran the wires for the fog lights directly under the radiator. He taped it to a wiring harness close to the firewall, then inside the dash he has it zip tied and tied around the drivers side fuse box. Not only that, but he had it grounded to the dash dimmer knob.

Another pic i took today driving around. And my parts came ^.^

Nice GT-S!

I know how you feel, I feel this way with my MR2 Turbo all the time.

So, did some work to this today. And felt like making an update to a thread that's not even mine.

Here's the rear brake pads, usually a good thing when there's barely any friction material left. The top two pads were on the left rear, while the bottom two were on the right. Plus the rotor on the right rear was completely shot as well, no wonder it grinded like hell.
