No controller vibration in GT4/PS3

I just got a PS3 yesterday and there is no vibration in the controller. Is this an incompatibility problem or is something broken? It is the NTSC version from the US. I don't have any other games so I can't test the controller out on anything else. As far as I can tell all the options are set correctly in GT4 for vibration mode.

I think the PS3 controllers don't have vibration.

Yep, it's the SIXAXIS controller - there was a dispute between Sony and the company who developed the vibration technology, but that has now been resolved. However, it happened too late to allow Sony to make a controller for the PS3 which vibrated. Unfortunately, you will have to wait and then purchase the SIXAXIS 2 (or whatever the next PS3 controllers are called) to enjoy the vibration feature.

I might be wrong, but I think you can buy converters which allow you to use the DS2 (PS2 controller, with vibration) on a PS3, but whether or not you'd get vibration via this is anybody's guess...

ya no vibration on the sixaxis i didnt play gt4 with vibration on ps2 anyways so no biggy
