Posted in the hope that someone at PD actually gives a toss and might spare an hour or two from moving moon rocks around to fix it....

Ok this is getting annoying now.... Most cars have no discernible exhaust note in Chase Cam view. Ok some sound barely audible, but most have NO NOISE WHAT SO EVER. I can hear the frikken birds chirping in the sky whilst hammering down the straight at full revs in a race car. It's pathetic.

Chase Cam is my favourite view and this has frankly ruined the experience of driving most cars I have tried thus far.

Some cars luckily enough do have a kitchen blender/hair dryer type sound emanating from the exhaust which makes the car at least somewhat more exciting to drive.

Surely this must be some bug as the exhaust noise is quite prevalent on most other views, the bonnet cam view being the best sounding.

Come on PD, how can you miss such an important factor which adds so much to the whole 'simulation' part of the game?

I had the same issue, I kept missing the queue to change gears cause I couldn't hear the engine..

I had to spend half an hour laying out thr cables and setting up my 5.1 surround sound system and then I changed gt6 audio option to output as 5.1 small theater system.

It has made a world of difference. I love the chase view cam, its the only way I know how to race lol

Does it make that much difference using the 5.1? I have my 5.1 setup on my other TV maybe I should change...

Sounds seem bugged all over the place. I race only in cockpit view. My 86 would lose exhaust sound, or change to a different tone randomly. My 12C loses waste gate sound sometimes. I guess GT6 is saturating the no. of sound channels?

Yes, it really is a treat.. if you setup your 5.1 correctly, when you are racing you can even hear the cars coming up from behind on your left or right, blind spot indicators are for noobs.. just kidding.

For anyone who hasn't tried Gran Turismo with a good sound system, you are missing out.
