Just my honest opinion so far. Add your own..

Physics - GT5, definitely!. The difference between each engine/drive layout (eg FR/MR/4WD etc.) Is very well implemented in GT5. Forza doesn't seem to grasp the MR/RR layouts so well (try 'lifting off' mid corner in either and you'll notice the difference. (I have owned FF/FR and MR cars in real life, so believe I have some say in this area..?)

Sounds - Forza 4 (by a massive margin!)

Graphics - GT5

Career mode - Hmm not sure. GT4 was probably stronger than both..

Online - Too early to say as I've not had enough experience of GT5 v2.0 or Forza 4

Game Menus - GT5 is a lot simpler and easier to work through IMO

Addictiveness - I still desire GT5 even if I do lust after the sounds of Forza!

My honest opinion so far? I love both games and one won't keep my form playing the other. Both have their strengths and weaknesses and I'm sure as hell glad that I own both consoles.

Did we really need a new thread for the same old VS thread!

Does the addition of "honest" make it any more accurate than the next person's "opinion". Give me a break.

EDIT: I just read the rest of you post - "Game Menus - GT5 is a lot simpler and easier to work through IMO". Sorry, you just lost all credibility.

Weird, most opinions from people that played both games can't really decide which one they would choose regarding to physics. And the menus, well , what can i say? You really must like them.

The arrogance alone in that is just full of facepalmery. Are you for real? It his opinion, TRY respecting it considering that I didn't realise that opinions were now factually wrong. Jesus. And you want to talk about credibility?

You can't like GT menus if other people don't like them! :P

After playing both with the same wheel, I feel GT has the better physics engine. There are some things I feel Forza's engine does better but overall I feel like cars behave more realistically in Gran Turismo. I like Forza's menus but the music they picked is dreadful, but this is coming from someone who adores jazz and the GT menu music so take that however you will.

So far my biggest gripe with Forza 4 is the terrible A.I. I've had all aids off and the A.I. set to the hardest setting since my second race (after the Italia race) and I've yet to be challenges, even when I play with a gamepad. I suppose that's what online is for though.

No doubt, That is a big gripe of mine with GT5. But I'm not making dumb posts either because there are many threads for that on here anyways. The game has been out for 4 days.

Graphics - GT5

Do people judge GT5's graphics on photomode when they say stuff like this? GT5 when you are actually playing, is very rough around the edges. Between the very low detail, low polygon standard cars, and the ported GT4 tracks, there isn't a lot to like about the games graphics. Tracks like the 'Ring look fantastic yes, but not much else is that impressive looking.

You didn't play FM4, obviously.

That picture was not altered in any way. It was taken directly in GT5, in the game's own photo mode, and uploaded directly without changes to Picasa. While this is admittedly a more extreme example of the low end of GT5's graphics, it can't be ignored and there's no shortage of examples of cars and tracks that, while not quite this bad, still look awfully dated. We can't just focus on the outstanding bits and pretend the low points aren't there.

GT5 is a sum total of all of its content, and not just the good parts. For example, you could make an awesome sandwich, but if I pull back the bun and find that a dog turd has somehow ended up on there, the sandwich is no longer outstanding because it's been hurt by the dog turd. We can't munch on that sandwich and pretend the dog turd isn't there.

Addictiveness - I still desire GT5 even if I do lust after the sounds of Forza!

There's no way I can go back to GT5 at this point. After nine or ten months with GT5 I went back to FM3, with me having already logged probably 500+ hours in FM3 before GT5 came along, but now that I have FM4 there's simply no way I can look at GT5 again. I guess I'll have to wait a handful of years for GT6 because that'll be the next time I ever touch the GT franchise.

Just been reading that the AI are not a challenge until the 2nd half of the game.

AI seem to step up at around level 20, for me at least. I was winning left and right with no problems, with every aid turned off, as well as rewind. Then out of the blue I noticed I had to actually fight to get 1st. I couldnt take first place in Lap 1. In fact, last race I had on Road America, I got 1st, after accidently bumping the AI off the road. If I would not have taken the last turn so fast, OR missed the AI car, I would have come in 2nd or even 3rd.

AI also makes mistakes which is kind of neat.

Now compare the AI to GT5's. Lightyears ahead.

Honestly, not really. Not in my opinion anyway. I do think the A.I. in Forza 4 is a tad faster than in GT5, but from what I have personally experienced, the GT A.I. acts smarter and more natural. Neither one pose any sort of challenge though.

If you can't get lift-off oversteer in Forza 4 you're doing it wrong. Just about every car, unless tuned for extreme understeer, will lift-off oversteer VERY easily. Try the DeLorean, or an Integra Type R. Get into a turn and then take your foot off the gas quickly. You'll be sideways in an instant.

I agree Froza 4 the AI rams me at times like I'm not there. If I have to hit the brakes following an AI into the corner often I get rammed from the AI in the back. Sometimes I feel I'm playing people online instead of an AI.

I am level 42 in Forza 4 and have played both games (sometimes at the same time) and F4 has officially taken the lead in almost every single category.
Graphics - F4 (especially in Autovista mode and the fact that all 500+ cars are fully detailed inside and out. GT5 only has about 200 fully modeled premium cars)
Audio - F4 by a longshot
AI - Forza 4 (GT5 AI is still really good and greatly improved)
Career Mode - F4
Online lobby system - GT5 (very online impressive lobby system)
Game menus - F4
Addictiveness - F4 by a longshot (especially with Rivals mode)

Its been mentioned many times, the AI gets much more difficult as you level up because it is "trained" to learn the tracks. So by the time you pass level 20 or 25ish, it gets more difficult. Especially if you start racing S class or higher. I am level 42 and AI can be brutal at times.
