how much of gt4 can you complete without spending a dime, including the free tires? i erased my saved game of 96.6% and 37,643 a-spec just to find out the answer (plus i just needed a new challenge) so far i have been able to complete just over 40% and have 19,000 or so a-spec points, 76 cars and 4,000,000 cr. i am not done yet, but the races are getting few and far between now. has anyone else tried this? let me know how you are doing.

I don't see anything you couldn't do besides dirt and snow rallies, as you need tires for them.

EDIT: And Extreme Hall, GTWC, some One-Makes, and Roadster Endurance, as you have to buy cars to unlock/win them.

I might try this, but i can buy tires for only rally cars, and where you need a special set of tires..
I agree with Lancer Evo... some One-Makes can include the Midget Cup, the Aston races (I think),

As I understand it, GT4 was way more limited in that regard than GT3 because you need a truck to unlock get past GTWC, and you cannot win one except in the truck race (also, the GT4 prize cars are a bit more...normal).

yes there is a lot of races you cant compete in ie; no trucks, no rallies, lots of one make races, no extreme courses, no mx-5 endurance, no boxer spirit, so far no 80's or 90's japanese cars. and so on.

Licence tests get you the a 90's car (Nismo 270R), and you could theoretically use the R89C in the 80s cup if the game guides are any indication.

90's japanese cars The Sileighty is actually legal for that if I remember right.

nice suggestions but the nismo 270r is not a production car and the subaru has racing tires. they need to be standard or sports. thanks anyway.

Are you sure? I thought 90's Japan Cup only prevented race cars, but tuner cars were still allowed.

the 270r can compete in the sylvia sisters event (never even thought of that one) and the sileighty also can compete in the 90's challenge, surprising since i didnt think it was a production car. well thats 2 more events done. anymore suggestions anyone?

Nissan did briefly sell them in Japan, so maybe that's why.

Is the Japan 80s cup production car only?
