Noob Haters

I think its more of an initiation to get hated on as a new guy. Or everyone just has an ego and thinks they're better than you because they've been playing longer and think you don't deserve to be in a room or race with them. This is often the case. Anyway, you'll just have to deal with it for a while. I know it sucks, but just level up a bunch in A-spec (maybe to level 33ish) and nobody will know.

It's because those people are assholes. They think they are so much better just because they know a little more than you. Everyone starts somewhere so don't worry about the haters. Just do your thing and eventually you will be really good too.

I'm reading and practicing, test and run. I have been at it all day. Lol

Thats good dude... ya gotta do your research... (its nice that your not begging for tunes like everyone else) There are a lot of good tunes on here that will get you in some close races. But a lot of dragging comes down to r/t and fine tuning your trans. A good way for tuning is to go to practice and record a lap and tune against the ghost.

Basically go to indy and line up at the start/finish line. Remember exactly where you line up! Run the to the end of the pits... Then drive VERY SLOWLY around the rest of the track (because if you make a faster tune... you gotta be able to beat your last lap time to update your ghost.) SAVE GHOST REPLAY. Then... once you have a ghost... tune... and tune... and tune again. But here's a tip... only change one thing at a time... so that way you learn what you did and how it affects your car and your tune. Cheers.

Unfortunately some people are going to be that way. Its just the way of the internet. If you find a good room make friends with the people there or add some people from here and you will have a good group to race/tune with. There are people that suck but act just as bad too lol. You just have to ignore them. That must be where they get their satisfaction in life, maybe overcompensating for their shortcomings in the real world. I'm not on as often as I'd like to be, but feel free to shoot me a fr to enjoy some good racing/tuning sessions.👍

Or get the DLC. The speed test has made my drag tunes much better as i can tell if they are quicker. found one tune that was much quicker of a 1/4 mile, but was useless anything past that. it's good because it gives you a break down. i've used that far more than i used the spa/kart space DLC...

Same here. SSRX was the first dlc I purchased and definitely the most used. 👍

How come people hate new tuners in their rooms? I don't hit people or effect their racing. So what's the deal. :grumpy:

even though i havent raced you, i respect everyone equally.
the hate comes from me when people beep their horns, flash their lights, crash into you and ask for tunes.

if we can see you want help to learn yourself how to improve and are willing to put in the effort we did to get good respect will come your way.
👍

Yeah, there was one guy who threatened me to give him my Supra RZ tune. I said no, and he said that he would kick me. I then said, "If you are going to kick me, then how will you get the tune?" lol he just left.

That's all I want is the knowledge to do it myself. I spent hours yesterday on my 99 Viper GTS. 925hp. I read Dr. Slumps guide and applied my knowledge to the track. It definatly helps. And I'm using other peoples car to tune mine. If theirs is faster I tune mine to get faster than before. If its slower... my works paying off. Lol

good job, ill let you in on a hint for the GTS. shift at 6k rpm.. it really helps. try adjusting top speed so you dont pass 6k revs in 6th by too far when you trap. (cross the finish)

I'll remember that. My prob with FR cars is acceleration. I either have to much or too little spin.

that is my major problem too. its a shame that so many components affect the launch, it makes it very difficult to perfect since each car is different.

Too true. I have it now where my wheel spin is not too much, but still its affecting my times. My other gears I am figuring out pretty good. But 1st and 2nd are killin me.

In my personal opinion, speed test takes precedence over online. If both people saw the tree like at a real drag strip it really WOULD be on reaction time. Even at the speed test you have to time correctly or you will get a slow time... My advice to you would be to find a GT5 Speed Test time submission website like in my sig and see where you truly stand up against the big names out there. I hope I was of some help..

So 1 hour tuning your car and 5 getting the launch right? More like who has the most free time than who is the best tuner...

@OP We don't hate noobs, but where is the fun in being in a supra and beating a GTR? I am willing to help people but at the same time want to race something/someone competitive :)

I get consistent runs D. Maybe your doing it wrong.. or like on a real drag strip your not timing it correctly.

Hmm took me about 30mins to run 4 cars and put them on the leaderboards and I'm in the top 5 on each car. Sounds like you are just not a very good tuner.

Well well now, aren't you special. Would you like a virtual cookie?

One, some cars are easier to launch solid than others, I got my Aventador to a 8.912 on my 3rd shot. Two I never stated I was fast, but I did look at your "Official" leaderboards and I would place in the top 5 of many of them. And three, I have a life OTHER than this game. If you think that your amazing virtual drag tuning ability will make you popular...have fun with that

Back on topic now, noobs race noobs and pros race pros. End of problem :D
