Not able to save short replay

I remember reading somewhere that you can watch and save a replay of the last 30 seconds when you pause the game. The watch part works, but the saving doesn't. Am I doing something wrong or did I misread that part about saving?

You can save the whole race AFTER you finish it and upload 10s to youtube.

You can watch the last 30s if you pause the game if I remember this correctly

Yeah Rom is right. Still dont underatand why you cant upload more than 10 secs directly. 30 would have been great for that.

Maybe that's what they get from Youtube licensing... Its our account but it must be some kind of arrangement between EA and Google for this feature to be in-game

It could be hardware limitation still. I remember Kaz saying that Youtube upload had to be pulled from GT5 because the hardware couldn't handle it. Maybe there's something that's related to the raw amount of data that means that the PS3 can only handle 10 seconds at a reasonable speed, and anything after that would require more serious amounts of time.

Or Youtube just didn't want their servers overloaded with crappy clips.

I don't know if you guys tried it already but before you do, be prepared to wait a few minutes for video/audio processing (and that's only for 10s).

It seems it processes the video 1st, audio 2nd, merge both, upload...

As youtube claims ownership of everything uploaded to the service I can imagine there has been some talking back and forth

I do however think that the 10 sec limit has something to do with the software/hardware restrictions.

Kaz claimt that it was impossible to get enough resources to allow for Youtube uploading in GT5, other games clearly have found a way, but not without limits.
