Not babying bob

So I finally decided to start progressing in B-spec-against my better judgement. I really just want the prizes over again. I forgot just how much of a DB bob really is. It's like I'm asking him to solve a calculus problem when I want him to pass. Fool just won't do it! After pulling him through the previous races before (at earlier dates), I entered him in the Clubman Cup with my tuned '81 Celica, and he sits there with his thumb up his butt. After giving him 7 laps at the first race to redeem himself, he decided 7th place was good enough for him. It ain't good enough for me, Well, I pulled (see: retired) his ass. I said, "bob, I tried to keep you in a good disposition for 7 laps, and you crapped in my face. I'm not losing the damn CLUBMAN CUP, 'cause you're too chicken s#@% to pass anyone. You hop in my Lambo, and win by massive horse power. It's obvious that it's the only way you're gonna win anyway. But, if you wanna drive daddy's big boy toys, I'm gonna drive your ass into the ground!" So I re-entered my waste of electronic life back into the championship, and ground his butt with constant "pace up" demands. Of course, his driving became terrible quickly, but I got the satisfaction of making the loser actually win something!

I dislike B-spec to begin with, and DB bob doesn't help when he doesn't bother listening to me. I know this is the B-spec forum section (I assume everyone here actually likes B-spec), I just though someone might get a kick out of my frustration. It's a shame PD didn't do a better job on these B-spec morons. Seems the best achievement they will ever aspire to is being good remote race grinders anyway. Hope people get a chuckle out of my venting. B-spec annoys me almost as much as the Vettell "challenge."

What was the temperament of your DB bob? I'm guessing he was too cool for school.. You might want to select a more aggressive driver next time

That really is the failing of b-spec. Even the 30+ level bob's suck at passing. You tell them pass and they'll do 1 of 3 things
1. Jitter about nervously like the car they are trying to pass is a giant rolling bomb and touching it will mean instant death.
2. Plough straight into the back of the car in front as if its not there.
3. Once in a blue moon they will pull an ok passing manoeuvre.

Oh and whats with the slow down command? "me, slow down? never!! i'll continue on inconsistently thank you very much"

Such a shame as otherwise I would actually enjoy this aspect of the game

I have a pretty even-tempered bob that I am using. I guess that's one of the (many)problems. The only things the commands seem to do is shift the little arrow closer to either blue or red. "Pace-up"=arrow moves toward red. "Pace down"=arrow moves toward blue. "Keep pace"=keep the arrow where it is right now. Leave the commands alone, and bob decides to take the scenic route everywhere-occasionally falling asleep and forgetting that he's there to win a race. If bob was a live person, I'd strangle him until he lost consciousness. Afterward I would tell one of the other stupid bobs they did it, and let them take the rap.

You sir, just made my day. I'm not laughing at your misfortune, but man did I get the same. My way of putting it wasn't as eloquent as yours however. 👍 ;)

But Bob is actually one hell of a driver if you think about it. I could not for the life of me get even near the corners I was aiming for when I first got into the X1, and those things are huge on Monza. But Bob is able to just sit there, doing 450 km/h, and he will hit that tiny little grey Audi R8 LMP dead center. Never misses a shot. What a marksman. Should send him into some shooter game with those aiming skills.
