Why is it that this gt doesn't allow you to save in a mid-championship series race? what's all that about? i find this absolute dog s**t, it used to be great saving in the middle of a series race, especially if you were too tired to carry on in the evening for argument sake....????

And never Pause the B-spec either. What's that about.
Yeah like i know one can't pause a real race. And not save a championship and take a holiday and continue.... IN REAL LIFE.. but this is a game.
Would be nice with both features, but then again some easier.
You could start the save each time you lost a race in tournament like before. Very Handy though.

Boo hoo. It's a simulator. not an arcade game.

My cousin went to boating school, they had a massive simulator controlling tankers etc.
They could pause :P :D
Doesn't really bother. I've adapted well as i'm only missing the FGT tournament A-spec (extreme) and NASCAR tournament B-spec (extreme). and done endurances til the 9 hours Tzukuba.

For Endurance races i agree, but for Championships i would say "no" as you can fix a win for each race with a "save" option, surely the emphasis is on racing your best for 1 time over a session of races, not reloading until you win.

Pointing out the lack of this save feature is not whining. I have a family, a job, school, and other real (not virtual) racing interests.

In the real world there are days sometimes weeks between real championship races (I would consider this a break).

In the real world there is more than one driver in endurance races - allowing the driver to take breaks.

These stops or breaks should allow a driver/gamer (if this is a REAL simulator) to save and turn off his or her PS3. Asking someone to keep their PS3 on for days on end to finish a race or championship is downright ridiculous. I wouldn't leave my race car run for days - that would be just stupid and expensive!

With Polyphony asking a driver to drive for 9 hours - let alone 24 hours - is not a realistic thing. And don't say I'm not Hardcore - I now have an EX-wife due to my car involvement.

My theory is they were just too busy to make sure they had this feature in GT5 and will hopefully include it in an update.

But they could include code in an update that would cancel that win in regards to the championship should the driver take the races out of order or not resume the championship where they left off.

Computer code can do just about anything!
