not enough bmw's, or any other car other than...

1st mistake putting the merc 190 evo and not the most winning car in the world, the wolf in wolves clothing m3 e30....

2nd mistake its called bmw M o t o r s p o r t, not racing....

also icould sit here write a long but not neverending list of bmw that did not get to be in this game....

...in fact it looks the the japanese did not give a lot of thought when it come to cars outside their home land....

in fact any1 would see excatly what im talking about when looking through the 2nd hand cars...

i know this is a japenese game and just like the colin mc rae's it supports its own but there a number of car that mean alot to different brand names...

like the alfa romeo sz or the 75
or bmw m3 e30 or the m1
or shelby cobra coupe race spec (you know what i mean... ... the one in gt2)
and many more.....

Welcome to GTPlanet, lue_driver. As the owner of an E30 I echo your complaint, but threads like this have been done before, and it doesn't do much good to wish for more cars in a game that already came out three years ago. We appreciate it when members search before starting a new thread, to see if their post could go in any existing threads. Here are a couple that could work for you:

Also, please don't use the word "Japanese." It was used by americans as a derogatory term during World War II and is offensive to Japanese people.

sorry for that comment, although a bit sore about the game, did not mean to be offensive or racist in any way...

thank you for welcoming me its my first post and liked to start by saying that i feel that european car were really neglected...

...also it kinda show that i only got the gt4 last year, i guess....

Don't worry about it, if there's one thing we've learned as an international forum it's that Europeans generally don't know about the history of that term, nor should they really be expected to. Just avoid using it and you'll be fine. 👍

Yup. That's how it is. But GT4 is even better than GT1 or 3. In GT1, the only European cars were a handful of TVRs and Astons. And GT3 was kind of the same way... roughly 20 Japanese cars for every European one...

I'm behind everyone else too. I only started playing GT4 last year. :(

ive had GT for two years. Yipee! But i have owned 8 copies now due to the ring of death.....

I agree about cars outside of Japan, even in the tuner village, they could have had some european or american tuning companies. I would love to see envy performance or gemballa. And hartage, because we all love supercars!

There will be more in GT5. Promise.

not the most winning car in the world,
The Porsche 911 says "Hey thar"

I love the E30 M3, and wish they coulda tossed er in. the E9 CSL woulda been nice too. but look on the bright side, at least BMW made it in, and with decent representation (3 or 4 version of the E46 M3) and a good race car to boot (that V12 LMR ain't nothing to fool with).

The M1 was terrible, the original M5 and M3 is where its at.

Personally you could say the same about mercedes though. I would love to have seen the oldskool mid 90's merc's.

V12 LMR? Thats nothing, my merc race car just spat it out in the GTWC, which i just won by myself for the first time ever! The audi R8 gave me problems though, only 3 points ahead of him by the end....

I'm not sure I'd go as far as to say that it's terrible since I've never driven one, but I would still take one of these over a Skyline 2.5 gts...

And I have no idea how PD missed this one...

Agreed. You can add Jaguar, Alfa Romeo & Aston Martin to the underrepresented marques.

ESPECIALLY Bentley! I would love a Bentley turbo, or continental GT.

Also i was thinking about this last night, BMW is one of the best catered fior companies in the entire game actually.

It has 2 race cars, a touring car, some sports cars and new road cars, convertibles and the best of the new age M///powered Beemers. And the oldschool version of the Z4 in the used cars....

Very true. Hell, I remember being disappointed in GT2 because there were several Beemers, but they were all the weaker models. No M cars. :grumpy: But you could still do a lot with them; especially the 328 Ci--which only accepted 420-ish horsepower but got a racing kit. 👍

Also, it was kinda cool having that 4,000+ pound 740! :D

Considering their extensive history though, a few key models are missing.

the E9 CSL, and 3.0 racing car,. the E30 M3, and it's race variant. the M1 (race or road) the E30 325i, and the E36 M3. These are the cars we miss.
