Novelty cars for GT5!

novelty/fun cars... purists might hate them, but I think they can add a fun dimension to GT4 - I mean who didn't grin a little at the Toyota Pod in GT concept? (Wish it'd been in GT4 though :( )

Anyway, for those of us who DO like novelty/fun cars, here's your chance to suggest a few!

Here's a few of mine...

1. 1958 Plymouth Fury, White/red... answers to the name of Christine ;)

2. The Car from the Film "The Car" - with horn too, please! :D

3. The car from the ORIGINAL cartoon series of the "Pink panther"... if anyone knows wht that car was BTW, I'd love to know! :D

4. KITT, Knight Rider. (I did say fun! :D)

5. Thrust SSC. Okay, a 40 mile drag strip would be nice too...

6. Bigfoot. (not the sasquatch... I mean the monster truck!)

7. A certain VW beetle with a number 53 on it... you know the one...

Not serious cars at all... but you know, sometimes it's fun to blast around a track for fun, not for playing like it's life or death every second! :D

Needles to say these cars would be won as bonus cars, along with the "proper" car you win... just so long as you can tune them though... that's all I ask! :D

Not exactly my cup of tea, but what the hell! :mischievous:
Here are my suggestions:
-the Mustang from Bullitt
-the Charger from Bullitt
-the General Lee (complete with Dixieland horn :D)
-the DeLorean time machine from Back to the Future (If you drive it on a track that was in GT1 and you reach 88mph, the screen will go white for a second, then when the picture comes back the car will be the same, but the track and HUD graphics will be the GT1 versions! Brilliant!)
-Hot Wheels Twin Mill
-Greased Lightning
-the A-Team van (I pity the fool that wouldn't include this! Sorry, couldn't resist.)
-a motorized barstool (need I say more?)
-Cadillac ambulance from Ghostbusters
-the Deathmobile from Animal House (again, need I say more?)
-James Bond's DB5
-Austin Powers' "Shaguar"
-Little Tike's Kiddy Koupe (unbeatable when going downhill! Don't know how you'd tune it, though. Red Bull and Wheaties, perhaps?)

How about the General Lee, from the Dukes of Hazzard.
Or the flying T-Bird from Flubber?
The Delorean from Back to the Future, or the Tank from Tankgirl.

Those would be fun to tear up the 'Ring in. :dopey:

Together with a bar and a drink on it or something? :dopey: Anyway the Ariel Atom is a fun car I'd love in the game. And maybe somekind of buggy to?

I second benzoboy's suggestion of an ice cream truck, and add to that:
-a streetsweeper
-a small school bus (you know, the ones the "special kids" ride :sly: )
-that motorized bed from the UK
-Dubya's DTS limo :dopey:
-a shopping cart (perfect competition for the Kiddy Koupe)
-U.S. Postal Service truck (the little one that goes door to door)
-the Wienermobile! :D
-the Beverly Hillbillies' jalopy

BTW, benzoboy, do you own an M-B? I've got an '83 300 SD. :)

as long as i can race them all and not just put around the test track with them, if they wont let me do that then dont bother. the "special" cars in gt4 were the dumbest thing ive ever seen. hopefully the genius that came up with that idea had to sit in the corner for a while and think about what he had done.

Sierra Cosworth

So, uh, how many real cars are going to be in this game? Or is this an add-on disc?

Though I do like the idea of the Back to the Future DeLorean, especially with the GT1 graphics.

you shouldn't have novolty cars in GT5, it takes up space so pd won't have time to make better cars like ferrari (if they do make ferrari's!!)

They have a looooong time to do it already, and PS3 has blu-ray technology, so space really isnt an issue.

My list:
Peugeot 406 Sedan from french movie triology "TAXI"(Together with retractable wings, spoilers, nitros, changeable license plates and extendable wheels. Also I want it to max out at 306 km/h,like it did in Taxi 2).

The last version of The Batmobile.

Shelby GT 500 from "Gone in 60 seconds".

K.I.T.T. from "The Knight Rider".

L8 Apex
-Little Tike's Kiddy Koupe (unbeatable when going downhill! Don't know how you'd tune it, though. Red Bull and Wheaties, perhaps?)

Actually that seems pretty cool, i dunno if any of you guys read car mags, but in auto week a few weeks ago there was an article about the big car companies getting together to make downhill racers.. It would be cool as hell if they put some of those in as a side game or something along with a downhill track, you could learn how to use momentum, just like Initial D!

I guess the tofu delivery car might be a cool addition too

All the world speed record cars!
(Blue bird, Railton mobile special, Spirit of america, Blue flame, Thust 2, Thrust SSC)

A clown car!
The outspan orange car! :dopey:
The egg car
A milk float (with optional nitrous and turbo's of course! :dopey: )

thats bout it for now... :sly:

I was hoping somebody would drag that Falcoln into this. 👍

benzoboy
-Tuk Tuk (Japanese Taxi with 3 Wheels)

That's called a Dihatsu Midgit Type 1 '63. ;)

Mmm.... I'd say any of the vehicles from American Gaffiti. Definitely the Charger from Fast an the Stupid and the 427 Yenko Camaro/ Hemi Challenger from 2F2F.

All the cars from Initial D, tuned to reflect their series counterparts, and with matching graphics. Like the Shigeno Trueno but with all the other cars.

The hearse of terror wheelie car. Back in the 60's someone took a 1958 caddalac hearse stripped it down to almost nothing, put TWO SUPERCHARGED Mickey Thompson 389's complete with zoomy headers (over 2000 hp) in it, left the original P.O.S. 4cylinder as the starter for the 2 389's and yes complete with slicks. Off the line was somthing like this ROOOAAAR!!!!!!, zoom, front wheels up high and it's gone.

a top fuel dragster (sweeet)
any car built on monster garage
