There was a lot of speculation about Honda to unveil a Type R version of the current nsx model in a 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. The show hasn't ended yet, but they probably won't unveil it anymore, I guess.

With that being said, it's sad, because this current nsx is a bit underperforming. When I watched some videos of it, mainly the one when Gan-San tested it, he wasn't very happy with it. He said chassis isn't good, ABS isn't as precise as it should be and it doesn't have enough feedback from road. I also noticed the car has some stability issues? In lots of videos, it had strange stability losses.

That's why I would like to see some R version, with weight reduction, better brakes, more feedback, perhaps being RWD and with aero parts for downforce. How cool would that be, but it's looking very unlikely now.

There were lots of speculations/leaks that it would be unveiled there.
No there wasn’t... the most we’ve heard is speculation that Acura MAY develop a more powerful NSX. This does not mean a Type-R version or even a production car at all. I don’t mean to rain on your parade but I’ve learned getting your hopes high for these types of things doesn’t usually go very well.

There really was, these last few months. I wouldn't mention it, if I didn't see it. I didn't have any high hopes, I just wanted to discuss about it.
