NTSC GT5 Prologue release date example?

What are some examples of the speculation about the US release date? I'm sure there were multiple websites with "hold dates" that people were arguing were actual release dates. How did we finally find out what the actual date was?

This is my kind of thread... good question Dave.
While we are at it, might as well throw in the examples of how they announced the GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT4 release date as well no?

But yeah.. let's start with GT5P, i seriously have no clue.. all i know is that we had to wait a bit longer then japan (europe and USA)... im sure it'w worldwide for GT5 though.

Dave, most of them are just based on retailers posting some date near "Pre-Order Now!". It takes a week (at most) for those to do a lap of the internet.
There's enough guesses out there that one of them might hit it, but I would check this one against any other:
