Nurburgring - 13 Laps - GT500/GT300 02/06/12

I am planning to host a 13 Lap race on the Nurburgring 24 Hour Track on the 2nd Of June 2012 with qualifying starting at 6:30pm GMT. The race will consist of both GT300 and GT500 cars from the Premium Garage.

Regulations of the race are as follows:

Driving Line: On
Aids: TC: On 1 ONLY
SRF: Optional
Active steering: Optional
ASM: Off
ABS: 1 Maximum
Tyres: Racing Hards
Tyre and fuel depletion: On
Damage: Light
Penalties: Off
Visual Damage: On
Boost: Off
Tuning: On
Grip reduction: Real

PP Limits

The Gt300 cars will have a PP limit of 435.
The Gt500 cars will have a pp limit of 600.

Qualifying for the race will begin at 6:30pm GMT. With a 40 Minuite Qualifying session. At 7:10pm GMT the race will start. Before the Race starts I will note down the order in which the drivers have placed in the qualifying. Then I Will set the PP to 435, let the GT300 cars get onto the track.Then set the PP to 600 and lest the remainder of the field onto the track. Drivers must not leave the track once on the track at this period as not to mess up the PP limits so nobody can cheat in the GT300 Class.

Once the race is Underway GTP OLR regulations are in place. I expect everyone to follow these rules as to make for a fair race. If you do accidently knock someone off the track then wait for them to get back on track and they regain the position. Then carry on as normal. I feel this is a gentlemanly approach to racing and makes it fairer for all involved.

I look forward to seeing you on track and if a Minimum of 12 participants is not reach by the 30th of May then the event will be called off as to not waste time with a Dull race.

How about making a 500hp, and 300hp limit instead of PP? All one needs to do is add weight and tweak the down force so the PP limit drops, then they can add HP. So now that GT500 car is running near or above 600hp. I had this happen to me before, I just knew that guy's car had almost 100hp advantage. No worries i'm just putting that out there so you'll have the fairest race possible.

If you did a HP limit then you could have no weight on the car and full aero. Where as with PP you might have to add some weight, take some aero or lose some power.Maybe that guy took some aero off and gained speed on straights from that

Judging from the responses it seems you should make it a Sunday race are different time slot. Or maybe earlier in the day if Saturday. You got a lot hits to see another good spot race go down the drain. I'll sign if we can a more suitable time slot for everyone's schedule?

Sunday wouldn't work and I work Saturday nights. Its the most convenient for me and Saturday night seemed convinient as a whole. If this doesn't co.e through il see about Sunday night.

What if you have a litte earlier on Saturday? Our ICGTC series is at 20:00 UTC time which I believe is 8pm GMT.
