Nurburgring Graffiti Update

I remember ages ago, that it was mentioned that the Nurburgring would be updated regularly to the changes in graffiti on it's surface. It's been a long time and yet nothing. Discuss. :indiff:

I don't know if anyone's been checking after every update. I do know that there's a thread on here with photos of the graffiti. Take a lap, compare, and let us know what's changed or not.

Unless you've already done that. If that's the case, then I admire your time management skills (lol), as I don't have the time.

I tried looking the last time I took a lap, but everything kept flying by so fast, I couldn't make anything out.
 
As mentioned before, there is a GT sign on the track from early 2011, they would do this first if you ask me, but clearly they didn't, it would be nice though.

Yea most of the "art" on it is pretty bad. If you guys watch Top Gear they had a picture of a Ferrari on the track with a huge male reproductive organ on the pavement. The game is rated E.

PD said they would exclude the explicit "art", but they would be up to date, with the changes on track. Watch some footage of in car laps around the track, a lot has changed. I'm curious why PD stopped updating. Is it because of DLC being priority?

There will probably be the updated graffiti in GT6, a great way to use up 2.5 years of man hours.

Let's be honest, of the entire GT5 player base how many care about something like this? 50? 100? It's irrelevant and a waste of time to most people.
 
Perhaps in GT7, the Grafitti and AI will be updated in real time! Race with actual racers on the track at that moment. Wishful thinking? Nope, we do need more than 640K.
 
I wonder if they use some special "paint" on the track? Because the traction of the car gets lost on this graffiti stuff, especially on rain. Found it extreme dangerous.

Well excuse them for having a nice conversation about something that you must throw down due to it not being so popular in your book.

Irrelevant? It's in GT5, so I see nothing irrelevant. A waste of time? Producers of any kind of product like their consumers to see what they had made and appreciate it. I appreciate it, and these guys probably do too.

I actually thought I saw an innapropriate part everytime I drive on the North loop. I usually use the 24 hour layout. But it looks like it is a mans 🤬 lol. But I think it also may be smudged out a bit
 
The fact they did majority, if not all of the graffitis is enough for me, updating it constantly to reflect the track would be costly and doesn't add much value in the long run.
 
If I remember correctly, Yamauchi-san only said that the graffiti would be updated during the game's development and that they aimed for it to be accurate when the game is released. I don't think there was any mention of it being updated after that.

With the exception of profanity, all of the Nurburgring’s graffiti has been re-created, just as it is in real life. According to Kotaku, they will attempt to keep the graffiti up-to-date before the game is shipped.
