Nurburgring help!

Okay, so I started the 24 hour Nurb with the Toyota 88C (the Minolta), but here's my problem, I have to pit every 2-3 laps as my tires are red.

Can anybody give me some advice on helping me get more out of my tires?

Just to let you know, i had Racing Hards on the back and Racing Medium on the front. All other settings are default, except I think I have it tuned for max speed.

I was 9 hours into the race (not on B-spec) when I paused the game for the night to get some sleep, and the power went out:nervous:. Now I gotta start all over again! :ouch:

I tried searching for some tuning help earlier for the Minolta, but all I could find was tuning specs for a different track.

Put super hard tyres at the rear, hard tyres at the front... come to think of it, why are you using the Minolta for that race?? You should be using a DTM or JGTC car... cheater

That car wastes a lot of tyres especially on that track. Try using some general settings for the car, no matter the track and then just go lightly on the throttle and brakes. It's a 24 hour race, you don't need to go full speed the whole time... besides, with that car you're probably lapping the opposition before the 4th hour has gone by... cheater

AND, there is a HUGE thread about this already...if this thread is not enough for you, try SEARCHING for "24 hour nurburgring"...and you'll find plenty of help.

Ciao....

If the power goes out and you don't want it ruining your race, then you could get a backup battery. But if the power ever goes out when it is saving, get a Surge protector.

Because if a thunder storm happens, well it can kill a lot of hardware. Anyway when racing use a different type of tyre, or don't do much drifting.

dont use the minolta use a jgtc car with super hard tires like diego said

what you could do is change to super hards on the rear and hards on the front but to make it last really long you need to soften up the suspension and raise the ride hieght of the car so it doesn't get bumped around all the time.( that means the sidewalls of the trye isn't getting compressed all the time meaning less movement in the trye causing less heat build up) You could also adujst the down force, the damper and stablizers settings so they are also softer. you might also want to fiddle around with the traction control settings and the weigt balance so the the cars weight isn't too much on the rear but dont make it un driveable. good luck:)

As has already been mentioned a very large thread on this subject already exists and as such any further discussion should be carried out there.

This ones getting locked.
