Official word from Nurburgring management is that these restrictions will be reviewed at the end of the year, but for the time being, manufacturers like Koenigsegg are banned from attempting lap-time runs — even if they’ve rented out the entire track for themselves.

The article was published four days ago, but I'm unable to find any other sources. Considering the article's source is from Christian Von Koenigsegg himself, it appears this ban has only been sent to car companies at the moment and there has been no press coverage on it yet.

The article focuses mainly on how Koenigsegg was planning on running the One:1 at the Nurburgring this week to beat the lap record, however that is no longer possible.

Wow thats odd.
I know the Apex guys updated their website recently, but it seems like when they remade their website, they didn't fix all the date stamps on their articles.
