Wow is it ever fun. I had never drove the Ring backwards untill today and it is extremely challenging. If you are a Ring master and think you have this track figured out take a full lap the other way.

At first i thought i know this track like the back of my hand it shouldn't be a problem and i quickly found out i was dead wrong. Every Apex is different.

At times i found myself lost on the track and had no idea where i was. When i thought i had a section figured out i found myself upside down 3 times because of it.

If you can get past the blinking wrong way indicater you can have some real fun with this. I suggest driving a car with good brakes.

its a fun idea, but i cant stand the "wrong direction" indicator.
@ Geddon: The Nordschleife was designed as a one way test track. Its not meant to be ridden "reverse". They occasionally do it for slow historical cars (no race)

I do that online, before a race starts, I chuckle at the commentators talking about me driving backwards, and then I smoke them for the win, in most 575-650pp races.

I tried to do it reverse in the dark(thats what she said),good thing it wasnt a real car i would have been dropping 10k on repairs ha

Some of the corners are downright scary in reverse, just when you'd thought it was scary enough in forward :ill:

Bergwerk is a prime example when run in reverse :ouch:

I didn't think you could go faster than 60MPH in that gear? It'd be tough holding the button to look behind the entire time. :dopey:

Just kidding guy... you gave me the great inspiration for a joke, thanks!👍

Did you know Forza 4 has option to turn the wrong direction indicator off? they really are making it a gamer friendly game!

I tried driving it in reverse in a 330 P4.. It was terrifying :scared: A lot more than going the forward direction :scared: :scared:

1. The game isn't even out yet
2. Gran Turismo is driver friendly, not fanboy friendly
3. Why the hell are you talking about that game? Search the right forum for advertising :ill:

Thing is, when I'm going backwards, I keep trying to imagine the turn I'm on forwards, which makes my brain shut down.

GT5 is already to much "arcade". Forza, beeing only arcade is a big NO NO NO. Its not gamer friendly its child friendly. Would also never buy an xbox.
If i want shiny graphics i turn on the PC.

Yuuup yup.

I was pretty shocked when I found out that FM4 will have an option to take off the "Wrong Way Indicator". It's good to know someone's on top of this. Hopefully, we get some added options in the future.

OP
I LOVED it when I did this one time. Never went back, but I will.

Oh come on. I think it's relevant. And be nice. Oh I oughta.

To 1., Top Gear USA used FM4 and they showed that they can take off the Indicator. By the way, Top Gear USA season finale was yucky. Pretty horrible.

Pretty sure the indicator goes off when you select the "no instruments" choice in the start menu, but i can be wrong...

TBH l think that american Top Gear was pretty garbage in general. Test track was too long, events/challenges were taken/copied from the European version, a lot of episodes went without laughter(unlike eeuropean version you cant go 1 episode without laughing). Sure the drivers were talented and ya some laughs here and there, but for me it just wasnt as enjoyable as the european versions. Even Fifth Gear was an all around better show when comparing first season to first season.

It still shows it. It's a real shame now that you mentioned that.

It is pretty bad. I only cared for the tests. For the most part, I was annoyed by some of the stupidity they showed ALL the time. Tanner Foust was the only person that never annoyed me, probably because he's used to TV so he isn't a donkey and since he's a racer at heart. Fifth Gear is mainly about car reviews and testing so that's one's a no brainer for most. Top Gear USA was so Americany and cheap in a way. It's the makers of that show tried too hard without knowing how to execute anything right. Mostly cheap.

Wow... PD i dont know what to say...

All i kinda wanted out of gt5 was a similar experiance l had with gt3, amazing replay angles, catchy menu music, all around fun, endurance races worth participating (****ing Tsukuba 4 AND 9 hour), easy and notable menu selections, races regulated by specific tiers ( turbo/NA tuning, drivetrain, tyre composition, and car models/class), with an easy going unstrained online system...

Its just... something "unique" was missing from that version of Top Gear. But ya, agree'd, wish they would actually attempt something original for once...

When Tanner does a race, it's decent. When Tanner does Top Gear, let's see if you, Rut, and that other jackass do in series 3. Rutledge seems severely out of place.

prediction for new Top Gear USA roster:
Adam Carolla, Robin Miller, and Michael Jordan and The Stig.

Any way, I will ATTACK THE RING, regardless of direction. I think I've done enough laps to know how not to attack a track in opposite direction. Right under Suzuka is Nordschleife Nürburgring on my Top Ten Most Hated Courses, at no. 2 on the list.
