Hello All, I have not been on this site for a while- I left around the time when the GT5 Forums was created)...

I recently got an issue of Motor Trend, which is a car magazine, and it had an article about the Corvette C6 ZO6 on Nurburgring SHORT course. I know there are other ways to go through The Ring than the way on GT4, but does anyone know how this Nurburgring Short Course looks like, and could it be in GT5.

I know this sounds like a weird question but I'm curious...
Anyone heard of it?

Nice to be back to the #1 Gran Turismo site in the WORLD

Theres no track called the Nurburgring short course I know of, I'd presume they're talking about the Nurburgring GP course, the circuit where the Formula 1 cars race. You can see this in GT4 right near the start/end of a lap on the Ring. If you approach the last corner but drive on instead of turning you see a large grandstand on the other side of the fence and if you pek through gaps you can see parts of the track itself. You can't race on it though .

It isnt that, the Nurburgring GP track has a short version, after the new start complex, instead of going straight then left down and right, it goes straight into a hairpin right then back up towards the chicane etc.

They didn't CALL it Nurburgring SHORT COURSE as if that was its name, they just reffered to it as "the short version" of Nurburgring. They did not state the name of it (If it had one) so I don't know exactly the right name, for now its just "Short Course" :)

Yeah thats the shortest version but I can't remeber the name of that layout, they probably were referring to the GP track.

There is no short version of Nürburgring, Nürburgring is the short course, Nordschliefe is the course we drive in GT4. It's actually part of the Sudchliefe, the south part of the Nordschliefe, that course is all gone, the F1 course kind of destroyed it. During 24HR races Nürburgring Nordschliefe is used, tht's the entire 20km course.

There is no south part of the Nordschleife. I guess back then it was the Nurburgring-Schleife all together because Sudschleife is South-Circuit and Nordschleife is North Circuit. The rest is obvious knowledge we already knew. ;)
