Heya, this is my first GT game, I am in love with this game something fierce, and I have been following and gathering tune information about what cars to use and what not..

This track, is the bane of my existance though, I can't seem to win this race so I was wondering if there was a car and a tune for this track to help me get the win, I realize that it's probably mostly driver error as I have never played a racing sim before in my life, but if there is something that could make it easier I am all over it at this point. I have the credits so I'm not worried about buying and tuning.

Any advice or recommendations would be great!

Familiarise yourself in a slower car. I.e, do the lupo race. The green hell is a track that i have yet not mastered...

actually if you have time, do the mercedes challenge. I learned the whole track from it.

Yes! Doing the track in segments with progressively faster cars helps you learn the right way to run the race.

Not to mention, after you do the first round, you unlock the track for use in Practice and Arcade mode so you can learn with your other cars.

I personally love using the Audi R8 5.2 on this track...

AMG Challenge gives you a lot of information and is fun so far. I agree on the Lupo race, fast enough to be fun, yet slow enough to learn the track!

tune your car to shift its weight easily, then learn to how to drive your car while shifting it's weight either front or back left/right. Brakes aren't just for slowing your car. when your car goes up a hill that, tends to flatten quickly your car will have very little weight on the front tire for a moment many people tend to gas too hard a little too early. this is really a unique set of challenges that Nur brings. It's also however the most fun track in the game. I've done probly almost 1000 laps of Nur, since project gotham racing 2 and many other games. aerodynamics help a lot on this track, most turns can be taken deceptively fast with high aero....tune the suspension to be a little more forgiving my audi own nur and its raised not lowered, its settings are a secret :) gl

Mercedes challenge is really helpful. Especially in the higher tiers where you drive in the wet. The Nurb'ring isn't particularly hard in my opinion, you just gotta watch out not to clip the grass as that can send you off into a terrifying spin-out.

Nurburg is just hard to drive fast, anyone can drive it, but race it? Easy to drive, difficult to race say anything that does over 180 mph. Or anything that does over 120 and has no downforce at all. :)

If you can find it recommend the BMW official guide to nurburgring, i mean i found it in pdf form i dunno where and got it burnt to disk somewhere, but it is chalked full of information about the track the exact lines one should take, when one should be on the throttle and off it, all sorts of very very good stuff if you want to be racing the track.

Otherwise drive it and drive it hard learn where you can push and where you need to back off and then try to get faster. I must have done over 200 laps between gt4 and gt5 and there still some sections i admit scare me in a fast car.
