Office XP problem

Whenever I go to the "Help" menu and pick "About.....", all the programs of Office except Word will close the program when I pick "About.....". Word will crash and ask if I want to send an error report to micro**** and restart word. All the others will just up and close itself. Also if I am backing up messages in Outlook it will close itself if I try to save the file to someplace other than the default place.

Reinstall. That'll probably be the easiest way to fix it.

Let's assume both pieces of software are legal. Just don't use the "about" function. It's useless. You're probably missing the text file that the "about" function displays. If you really care, you can probably find out what it is, download it from somewere, and place it in the correct folder so that the programs no longer crash. I really wouldn't worry about it. I couldn't find anything in the support database.

This also happens in XP Pro if you have less than 128Mb ram (after shared video) on your system...

well, if you have reformatted and re-installed the OS and it still doesnt work, i would take it back to the vendor and get it exchanged....
