Offline & controller play

I am looking to buy a racing game to play offline against the AI and with only a controller unfortunately...

Would people recommend PC 2 over GT Sport? I had PC 1 and enjoyed it although it was a bit rough around the edges. I also played GT6 extensively but I'm worried there would won't be enough content on GT Sport to keep me entertained?

Any thoughts?

Pcars 2 hands down wins in terms of off-line gaming. But you need to find the right "controller" settings to actually enjoy it.
So if I was you I would get Pcars and do a good research in order to find good DS4 settings.

I'm on XB1 with a controller. I find default settings perfect for me. I feel I drive fair and usually only change camber, ride height and damper settings.

AI are challenging at 100/100, for me. Therefore, I rarely win races from random starting positions. However, depending on circuit, AI can be slower at certain turns and faster at others. I can guarantee you, no brake checking at braking points. You can literally follow AI bumper to bumper around a circuit(and point to point track) and push yourself 100%, to keep up and try to keep AI behind.
